Toby Carvery

I use Toby quite a lot. Recently I've noticed that we have no sooner finished our meal that the staff are bringing the bill. It has all the feel of a production line. I could understand if the Toby was busy. When I booked on line we were given 2 hours and only used half this time.Stop rushing to move people, take a breath.

We arrived early and it was very very busy but we were pleasantly directed into the bar , got a drink and then they came and told us our table was ready , not too longer wait..The waiters came introduced him self and advised we should join the queue plus also would we like pigs in blankets, food was plenty full and hot , shame no apple sauce , but still very niceHad a sweet very very nice yes we will be back

We often go to the Toby. Love the food, service and friendly environment. It is convenient for us, inexpensive and tasty. All the staff are helpful.

Lovely location set in a beautiful Georgian building. Had the veggie option which was great Was surprisingly quiet for the the start of the bank hols but okay none the less

The food was great, and the staff really friendly and helpful, and the price was really reasonable. However the food did go cold pretty quickly, probably because it was quite cold in the restaurant and my plate wasn't very warm, however I had the first plate off a new pile, my friends plate was off the previous pile and her plate was quite hot. But would definitely go again.
