Watanabe Udon

A local Chinese restaurant with good value for money, which takes a more people-friendly approach. The name of the restaurant is WATANBEUDON, which is a relatively easy name to remember. We ordered a table full of signature dishes.

Watanabeudon is a Yoshida Udon restaurant located near Oshino Hakkai. Yoshida Udon is a specialty of Fuji Yoshida, and its noodles are twice as thick as usual and more elastic. The most recommended dish in this restaurant is the Nikutama Udon, which has so much meat, vegetables, and eggs that you can hardly see the noodles. You can choose from large, medium, and small bowls.

There are many people making udon noodles at the foot of Mount Fuji, so there are many different udon noodle restaurants.

The folk customs here are quite simple. For example, snacks and pickled vegetables can be tasted for free, and the aunties will also sell ramen and daikon radish made in the village.
