Yabuhan Soba

The soba shop we went to is the most famous century-old noodle shop in Otaru. Many people come here because of its name [Otaru Soba House Yabhan]. In fact, I didn’t know it when I ate it, but I just found out about it... And that day we We were the last table of customers, and the old boss even asked us where we were from... I was suddenly surprised💕 This time I was completely distracted from eating here and there during the whole skiing trip~

It wasn't crowded (we asked the hotel to make reservations for us as reviews suggested to book in advance). There were plenty of seats at 7:15, probably because it was drizzling. The menu was in English so that was no problem. The prices on the menu included 8[%] tax. It was hard to find even with Google Maps. The sign was not in English so we had to ask people if they were there. Some of the waiters were in kimonos. The atmosphere was nice with rice paper square lights and wooden structures overhead. The soba and tempura were nice and a little spicy. We also tried the soba water, which is the water used to boil the soba. The restaurant only accepts cash payments.

There is a soba noodle shop beside the stream, and there are many Japanese people. There are hot noodles and cold noodles. There is a raw egg in the cold noodle bowl. Japanese eggs can be eaten raw. Add soy sauce and stir, then stir and eat with noodles. It is a unique taste.

Close to Otaru Station, with parking available. A bowl of noodle soup is also served after the meal! The buckwheat is good
