My first visit to The Gate, Chorleywood.  We were offered drinks immediately after being seated and these arrived quickly.  Plenty of staff who were very attentive, despite  all tables being taken.  Good choices on the fixed price lunch menu and food was delicious.  Very good value for money.  Won&#39;t hesitate to recommend or revisit this restaurant.

We sat in the window seat which has a lovely view of the estate and my wife enjoyed her 80th birthday although another time i would order a birthday cake!!
