Sobasho Yamakoshi is a well-known Japanese restaurant in Shirakawa Village. Their Japanese barbecue and ramen are very famous in the area within a ten-mile radius.

The taste of Hida beef is still okay, but I have eaten it for several meals, and it is not amazing. Be careful not to cook it for too long. I cooked a piece for too long and it was a bit hard to bite. The taste of the bean sprouts and mushrooms cooked with the beef was a bit light. The soba noodles tasted okay. The small fish as a side dish did not taste fishy at all, and it was quite good with rice. There was also a side dish like bamboo shoots, which was also very refreshing.

The food is definitely not bad, but it is just average for Japan. The tableware is quite exquisite and the presentation is also beautiful. There is a sense of ritual when eating.
