This is a family owned high end restaurant serving delicious Argentinian food. The view over the harbour was beautiful and the friendly staff made for a great time. We can be a bit noisy and some of the Argentinian gentlemen eating there were a bit put off by us. It is a relatively intimate restaurant so a large group can be a bit overwhelming. I had the sea bass which was very good and my wife had the king crab which was the specialty and very tasty and a large portion. We chose some really nice Argentinian wines at reasonable prices. I was trying the Malbec (&quot;Imperfecto&quot; from Mendoza)! This restaurant is not cheap but the food is worth it. Highly recommended.

At 7 o&#39;clock in the morning, the plane ✈️ landed on time at Ushuaia Airport. It was drizzling outside the window 🌧️, and the whole city was covered by dark clouds.

After picking up the luggage 🧳, contact the staff at the TAXi counter at the airport. He will take you outside the airport and arrange a taxi for you 🚕. The taxi price in Ushuaia is similar to that of UBER in Buenos. The airport is very close to the city, about 20 minutes by car. Ushuaia is a very quiet and beautiful town. This beauty does not come from scenic spots or landmark buildings, but comes from the bones and can be felt anytime and anywhere. There are many seaport towns in the world, and there are also many towns at the foot of snow-capped mountains 🏔️, but Ushuaia combines the two. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, colorful 🌈 houses are built on the mountain and extend to the port. The town has a large drop in altitude, with an altitude of dozens of meters in just three or five blocks.

At noon, the rain gradually stopped. The town washed by the rain 🌧️ was particularly clean, the ground was spotless, and the fresh air was refreshing. We climbed from the beach to the middle of the mountain, and then returned to the beach from the middle of the mountain. We wandered aimlessly and squandered our time until the sunset, admiring the different postures of the town in the changing light and shadow, watching the lights of the cruise ship to Antarctica light up. This is the look of fireworks at the end of the world, and this is the correct way to open Ushuaia.

Of course, it&rsquo;s not that Ushuaia has no attractions. There is the Tierra del Fuego National Park⛲️ where you can hike freely, and take a boat 🚢 to the southernmost lighthouse in the world to see posters 🦭, sea lions, and penguins 🐧.
1️⃣ Tierra del Fuego, you can choose to join a tour group, or you can go to the bus station to buy a round-trip ticket to explore on your own. It takes about half a day to join a tour group. I personally recommend exploring on your own, which gives you plenty of time to fully experience different scenery. The ticket + bus ticket is about 300 RMB
2️⃣ Going out to sea by boat, there is a row of beautiful cabins at the pier, where you can buy tickets to go out to sea. There are more lighthouses and sea lions and seals. The ticket price is more than 300 RMB and it takes about 2 hours

Exchange rate 💰
Ushuaia is the place with the worst exchange rate on this trip. In April 2024, the exchange rate was 980 to 1 US dollar in Buenos, and 900 to 1 US dollar here

Shopping 🛍️
Shopping in Ushuaia is considered cheap in Argentina. The same souvenirs are twice as expensive in El Calafate as here

Food 🍴
1️⃣Maybe it&rsquo;s due to the season. I went to the famous Old Captain Restaurant twice but there was no whole king crab 🦀. The king crabs in the Chinese restaurant Bamboo are pitifully small and quite expensive
2️⃣There is an Argentine grilled lamb chops restaurant on the beach that is highly recommended. Three whole lamb racks are grilled on an open fire and cut as they are grilled. The taste is simply amazing

Accommodation🏠
Most hotels in Ushuaia are concentrated near the beach, which is very convenient for travel, while most homestays are concentrated halfway up the mountain. Although you need to climb a mountain, you have a good view and can overlook the harbor. You can choose according to your personal preferences

Public security👮
Ushuaia has very good public security. There are still crowds on the streets at 11 or 12 o&#39;clock at night, and there is no need to worry about theft

We came here to warm up and have something hot. We ended up spending hours talking to the owner, his wife, his son, and his son&#39;s girlfriend. The coffee was absolutely the best we have ever had. The wine was made in house and we loved it! My husband and I are dry wine lovers but the owner treated us to a semi-sweet wine that was so perfect we couldn&#39;t say no. This is a great place and worth visiting more than once!

The king crabs here are all too big. As a solo traveler, it is indeed a bit of a waste. You can try the pasta here, which has king crab meat topping (I don&#39;t know the professional term, it should not be braised), and the seafood noodles, both are good. The amount of noodles is enough for one person, and you can save on the appetizers. It&#39;s not thrifty, it&#39;s really too much to eat. For reference.

The pizza is really good, and I like the caramel sauce. The shrimp salad is delicious and the price-performance ratio is also very good. The octopus is quite special, and the others are all good.

I didn&#39;t expect to find a Chinese restaurant here. The owner is Chinese. I felt so friendly instantly. I haven&#39;t had enough of Argentine beef and king crabs that cost 200 yuan each. This place is close to Lake Argentino, so the seafood is cheap and fresh.
