Dinner at KHOP CHAI DEU. It means "thank you" in Chinese. It is a combination of traditional and western food. Actually, I have been to KHOP CHAI DEU twice before, and every time I had nothing but beerlao. This time, I am grateful to Ms. LI for bringing me to discover the real KHOP CHAI DEU. Dinner Not impressed- a lot of waiting staff big menu , but poor food at quite high prices . As others have mentioned request for a green papaya salad with very little spice resulted in a standard small and not very good green papaya salad with a whole red chili for about 100 grammes of papaya. The mango sticky rice was ok but twice the size in the menu picture than the one we were served. The fish and chips for the children was bland and served with a sweet mayonnaise- not good at all. There are so many good restaurants in Vientiane, not worth coming here for food.

The hotel environment is very good, with a terrace on the second floor. It is quite popular. There are traditional Laotian dishes and Western food. The two of us ordered a set meal for 96,000 kip, about 80 yuan, and a grilled fish. The grilled fish was super delicious. The fish scales were not scraped, but coated with salt.
