Cafe Lotus Ubud

For dinner, we chose the Lotus Restaurant next to the Water Palace. I saw a travelogue saying that you can see the dance performance inside the Water Palace. But it is not possible. If you want to watch the performance, you have to turn left and buy the performance ticket. I like it very much!

The taste is good, the service is average, compared with other enthusiasm, this one is much inferior. The scenery is beautiful, especially in the early morning and evening. You can enjoy the quiet atmosphere by sitting quietly in a chair.

Enjoy the beautiful lotus pond and characteristic buildings in the restaurant. Wear a beautiful long skirt and pose in various ways, enjoy the exotic atmosphere, and feel beautiful. The scenery is good, the taste is OK, and the price is not cheap.

I don't have high requirements for food. I always like to choose places with good environment when I travel. So I chose Lotus Restaurant before the trip, imagining the comfort of tasting delicious food while enjoying singing and dancing by the lotus pond. I exchanged several emails with the restaurant and booked the platform position. By the way, there are three types of positions here. The ordinary restaurant seats do not need to be booked. The platform seats are similar to tatami positions around the lotus pond. Reservations are required. The minimum consumption per person is 225,000 rupees, which is about 120 yuan. Of course, there are 15% taxes and service fees. You need to buy tickets for dance performances, which is 40 yuan. Another better position is an independent pavilion facing the performance stage, with a minimum consumption of about 180 yuan per person. However, the dishes here are very large. We only ordered two sets of meals for four adults and two children, and the total cost of the performance tickets was 560 yuan. The dance performance was super good! Ubud's famous Lotus Restaurant has a courtyard that is more majestic than the nearby Ubud Palace. The lotuses in the pond and the exquisite carvings on the buildings are all so beautiful. I originally just wanted to drink a sentimental cocktail, but when I saw the Australian Wagyu 9+ steak on the menu, I was tempted again. The eye steak was so juicy that it burst, the dessert soufflé was as soft as a cloud, and the Honeymoon cocktail was full of wine fun. The wine is stored in an ice ball, and you can only drink the sweet wine after breaking the ice ball.

Located next to the Ubud Palace, it is surprisingly not popular. Well, I went there to eat, not to see people. The juice was delicious. My friend ordered it for me. The real juice is awesome. There were poached eggs and lobster slices, which really made me confused.

This restaurant is really close to the palace, just a few steps away. There are performances in the evening, and you need to buy tickets to watch the performances. However, if you eat at his house, you don’t need tickets. It is said that his food is also good, very tasty! There are many foreigners there, all of them are private seats, and the bathroom is also very clean. When I made an appointment, the waiter also asked carefully, and even asked me to register the hotel I was staying in. I didn’t expect this! The lotus pond is very beautifully decorated, the stage background is strong and has ethnic characteristics, and the service is quite good!

The only advantage of this restaurant is the lotus pond in the middle of the restaurant. We went there in mid-April and the lotus was in full bloom. The first row of seats is very good, very close to the lotus pond. The seats on the right side of the lotus pond are all in the form of tatami.
