Highlights - Shopping street. Good place for people who are looking for a place to stay. Mountain scenic.
Rating - 5/5
Dropping by Fort William? This should be one of the spot that you should visit, as I would say everything that you are looking for, you will be able to find it.
My friends and I walked around Fort William and went to a pub for lunch. Around Fort William, most of the restaurants are pubs since it's very cold and locals like to warm themselves with a drink.
As we walked around the street after lunch, we stopped into a store to buy some winter clothes. This is a great place to get winter clothes as the higher you go, the colder it gets.
In addition to this, there are many hotels within walking distance from here for those who are looking for somewhere to stay and a few supermarkets nearby for you to purchase your necessities.

Harry Potter train bridge 🤩
THIS ONE’S FOR YOU POTTERHEADS!
Studying in Edinburgh gave me the opportunity to spend much time in the Scottish Highlands, and the most famous Harry Potter landmark there has to be the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct 🏴✨
👉🏼 To take pics with the train and iconic billowing smoke, do go during the summer as the train doesn’t run during winter 👈🏼
Other than the bridge, there are many beautiful places to visit in the Scottish Highlands and the drive there is so gorgeous and mesmerizing, road trips are always fun whether you’re a Potterhead or not 🤗

Glenfinnan Viaduct
Address - A830 Rd, Glenfinnan PH37 4LT, United Kingdom
Highlights - Railway viaduct. Used for several Harry Potter movies. Scenic spot.
Rating - 5/5
Woooo. One of the lovely place for Harry Potter fans to visit! So this scenic spot is where Harry Potter movies are being filmed to head to Hogwarts!
I would recommend if you are heading there, two things to note:
1. Do check on the train timing as I heard that it will only pass by twice in a day (1 in Morning, another in Afternoon) if you would like to capture the moment.
2. Do estimated around 30 - 40 minutes time as you may want to capture some pictures while hiking and there might be a wait as the train does a pit stop at Glenfinnan station!
You may want to drive there with friends but parking needs to be paid. But I would also suggest to go there via tour as they would plan out the itinerary well and know when to bring you there during the time and following tour, you might have the priority to explore the places and get yourself a nice spot first.

Ben Nevis Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Ben Nevis is only 1,400 meters above sea level, but it is the highest peak in the UK. Because the hiking trails that are only a few miles away from Fort William are called tourist-level trails, I am confident that I was on a rainy morning in October but thought it was a walk, only in a casual sportswear, without carrying any water and food. The road, although the trail administrators who met me reminded me that the snow on the top of the mountain is very difficult and safe, but I still don't think so.
The wind in the mountainside, the stream that entered the river, the rain and snow with almost zero visibility after halfway, the low-level equipment, less than 3 hours, drenched, quickly lost temperature, can only fail and return.
It seems that the highest peak of snow on every mountain top is worthy of respect.

Scotland 4-day tour itinerary! Edinburgh + Highland New Year's guide
Scotland Highland | Highland
The highlands are vast and sparsely populated, completely different from England. The scenery in England is mostly pastoral and gentle, while the scenery in the Scottish Highlands is desolate, rugged and magnificent. 🌬️Even the wind has a taste of freedom💗 The Scottish Highlands can be said to be suitable for travel all year round, and it is also the location of countless magical blockbusters! Especially in winter, the Scottish Highlands with snow as the background are even more poignant and magnificent!
-
🚗Transportation
❗️The distance between the attractions in the highlands is relatively long, it is recommended to drive or join a group~ The weather in the highlands is unpredictable, everyone must check the weather forecast and prepare rain gear! 👇If you plan to go to Scotland, you must not miss this itinerary. If you are short on time, you can join a group like us. But if you have plenty of time, I recommend driving, especially Loch Ness, you can stay there for one night, it's really too beautiful✌️

Day 2⃣️: Luss Town—Loch Lomond—Glencoe Gorge—Three Sisters Mountain—Fort William—Ben Nevis Peak—Glenfinnan Bridge

Day 4⃣️: York (York Cathedral—"Diagon Alley" Meat Shop Street—Ancient City Wall—Betty's Tea Room)

⛳Recommended attractions in the Scottish Highlands
1️⃣Windermere Lake District
The scenery here has a kind of "lakeside school" poet's charm, and the lake district under the sunset has a bit more tenderness, feeling that you can sit by the lake and stare at the swans and lake water for a long time.
The lake district is not big, it takes about an hour to stroll around.
.
2️⃣Highland Tour
Glencoe Gorge🚌Harry Potter Train🚌Loch Ness + Three Sisters Mountain
Experienced the typical rainy weather in the highlands,
🚞The Glenfinnan Viaduct is the location of the Hogwarts Express, and there is only a steam train from May to September every year
🦕If you have read the story of the Loch Ness Monster since you were a child, you will be a little excited, and you are full of curiosity about this mysterious black lake.
.
3⃣️One-day tour of Edinburgh
It is worthy of being the "Northern Athens" of the Scottish capital. The combination of medieval classics and modernity has a strong sense of story. No wonder it is the source of inspiration for many authors.
.
4⃣️York🚌
Supermarket bars and Chinese food Diagon Alley also have shops open, very Christmas atmosphere

Stunning Scottish Highlands🏴
While driving in Scotland, I couldn't help but be amazed on everything that I saw from inside the car. Cameras just don't do Scottish highlands especially Glencoe any justice. It is breathtakingly gorgeous. All the tall and lush mountains that surround me made me realize just how small and insignificant we are compared to the nature's size and beauty.
I highly reccommend to drive along Glencoe if you are driving to the north of Scotland. You'd be mesmerized by its beauty.
Enjoy!

Scotland's Glencoe Mountains
Location: A few hours drive north west of Glasgow near Fort William.
This is a stunning mountain range where you can hike and photograph the amazing hills.
Located within the awe-inspiring Lochaber Geopark in the Highlands, the deep valley and towering mountains of Glen Coe were carved out centuries ago by icy glaciers and volcanic explosions.
Glencoe village is picturesquely located between the banks of Loch Leven and the mouth of the famous glen, making it the perfect base for exploring the area of Lochaber, known as the Outdoor Capital of the UK.

Three Sisters Viewpoint, Glencoe
Address - Ballachulish PH50 4RJ, United Kingdom (Located in Highland, United Kingdom)
Highlights - One of the most iconic viewpoints Breathtaking views. Scenic spot.
Rating - 5/5
Took a day tour with my friends around Scotland and one of the stop is the Three Sisters Viewpoint! It is definitely one of the most scenic and beautiful places that makes me want to tell everyone that you should visit once!
It is at least 2 hours ride from Glasgow and the only transport available is by car or tour bus.
I would recommend that if you are taking a tour around Scotland, do wear thicker clothes as when I was visiting with my friends, at the moment it was -0°C and my clothes were too thin where it stops me from heading down to view more.
So if you are an explorer, I would suggest you to walk down towards the hiking area to enjoy the beautiful scenery!

Glen Nevis Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
#tripaway Nivica Canyons are a natural wonder, discovered and explored only in recent years by many visitors. They are located near the village of Nivica.
The canyons of Nivice have a length of up to several (km), an average width of about 15 m, and a depth of up to several tens (m). They are formed by the erosion of the Nivice Stream, part of the Bencha Stream, into carbonate rocks.
The stream of Nivica, below the village of the same name, has formed a gorge with a very narrow bed, with a length of about 3 km to the basin of Merje, a place where it joins the Well of Progonat. Its bottom is very regular, with fractures or thresholds and jerks, accompanied by negative shapes, which are pits and grooves deep in the rocky bottom of the canyon, with oval-shaped cauldron-shaped appearance, with clear and clear water.
The water separates and falls from great heights (30-40 m) and forms waterfalls, like that of Guva and two others below it. The canyon, though ever deeper, is presented with full of natural contrasts, cliffs, stepped bed and numerous caves on the rock face. They are visited by taking the road Tepelene-Progonat-Nivice.#visitalbania
