Donghuali is located on Fuxian Road in Chancheng District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. It was originally named "Wu Yang Street" because at the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, the first group of people who settled here were the Wu and Yang families. It was renamed "Donghuali" during the reign of Emperor Qianlong during the Qing Dynasty. It is one of the best preserved street from the Qing Dynasty period in possibly the entire Guangdong province. It is a valuable site for studying subjects such as local folk, architecture, and area history. It is a major historical and cultural site protected at the national level.
