The best stir fried noodles and appetizers in Syracuse. However the Unagi nigiri sushi was bit dry and over cooked. The manager and staff were all very nice.

Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse

Had an interesting dinner at the hibachi table. It started when the soup arrived &amp; it was chicken noodle??? I was really expecting miso so the chicken noodle was a surprise. It was good but not what I&#39;m used to at most Japanese restaurants. They dished out the spicy mustard sauce for dipping but they do not have ginger sauce. The food was good, but I felt it was average.

Our party of ten was not seated until 8:25 p.m. even though we had a reservation for 7:30 p.m. We had to wait another ten minutes before the waitress took our drink orders and twenty minutes after that before the waitress took our dinner requests. The food was mediocre and the hibachi &quot;chef&quot; was lacking in enthusiasm. I have no plans to return to this over priced hibachi restaurant.

The wait staff was great but they were short of chefs so the wait time was long. Once the chef began we were disappointed. The show by our chef was average at best, the vegetables were bland and the beef was served under-seasoned. Thank goodness we were with a fun party so we still had a good time. We were recently in Cortland at The Wild Ginger and the chef performance &amp; food were much better there. Worth a trip to Cortland.
