The Tibetan name of Queer Mountain is "Cola", which means: the wings of a big bird. Located in Dege County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, in the northern section of the Shaluli Mountains, the main peak is 6,168 meters above sea level, surrounded by more than a dozen peaks over 5,500 meters. . The main peak of Queer Mountain has two ridges in the northwest and northeast. The main peak is tall and the glaciers are fully developed. The tongue of the glaciers stretches straight to the edge of the forest. The forest is home to more than 20 kinds of precious protected animals such as black bears, white-lipped deer, snow leopards, and blue sheep. On the west side of the main peak is Xinluhai (Tibetan: Yulong Lacuo), an ice-stained lake formed by a glacier.
