Driving back to Shanghai from Beijing, passing Gaoyou, I drove here to see it. Self-driving can drive directly to the entrance of Zhenguo Temple. Parking is free and there is no admission ticket. This is a religious place. It should be a rare and pure place to promote Buddhist Dharma. Because it is the 30th of the New Year, there are not many people. All the people who come here are local or admire their names. They worship Buddha and pray for blessings. Pudu Bridge crosses the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal. It is very interesting to make good use of one's heart and live in the present. Crossing the Pudu Bridge is the main building of Zhenguo Temple. Outside the Temple of Heavenly Kings is a giant statue of Guanshiyin Bodhisattva in the South China Sea standing on a lotus tery and holding a jade bottle. It is ready to accept the Heshi pilgrimage of all living beings. In Daxiong Palace, the white-eyed old monk smiled and stooped down with candy on the table to bring children to a believer's home. It was very warm. This was the harmony and harmony that Buddhism should have. Behind the Temple of Heavenly Kings is the Zhenguo Temple Pagoda built of green bricks. After thousands of years of storms and storms, it was reported that it had been struck by lightning and then repaired as old as before. The towers of Zhenguo Temple are all built of green bricks. They are 25 meters high and square in plane. The top of the tower is a four-cornered, two-meter-high gourd-shaped copper spire, with north-south arch on the bottom, tower doors on the second and seventh floors, and small Buddhist niches on both sides. There are prominent semi-circular brick columns on both sides of the three-to five-storey pagoda gates, and brick eaves are stacked between the layers, which obviously retains the architectural style of the ancient pagoda of the Tang Dynasty. Among the more than 600 ancient pagodas in the country, they are outstanding.
On the channel of the Grand Canal between Beijing and Hangzhou, Premier Zhou approved the preservation of ancient temples, ancient pagodas of the Tang Dynasty, where Tang Qizong's younger brother once practiced, and there was a strong incense in Gaoyou. Free and open, cost-effective.
After visiting Yuchengyi and then staying at Zhenguo Temple before driving, it was built in a large area along the canal channel during the reign of Tang Qizong. It has a thousand years history. The monastery is free of charge. There are no false monks to collect money. The monastery is being repaired as old as before. Unfortunately, the ancient monastery is also being repaired and strengthened and can not be visited. The ancient bell tower inside can go to ring the bell to pray for blessings.
Zhenguo Temple was built in 874. Located in the middle of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in Gaoyou City, Jiangsu Province, it faces Gaoyou City in the East and Gaoyou Lake in the west. Zhenguo Temple Pagoda, also known as the West Pagoda, is known as the "Southern Big Wild Goose Pagoda". As a national key cultural relic protection unit, the national 3A level tourist attractions. It is a square seven-storey Pavilion brick tower with a height of 35.36 meters. The top pagoda brake is a bronze cast gourd. The gourd surface is inscribed with the words "Good weather, good weather and good people's safety". Personally, I think the Guosi Temple in Gaoyou Town is a must-see spot. In fact, there are three scenic spots, Gaoyou Lake, the ancient canal and the West Pagoda. The three attractions are all together. And it's free.
The temple is not big. It looks very clean after being repaired. It is facing the Grand Canal and has a sense of historical vicissitudes. The traffic is inconvenient, you have to drive or take a taxi to the past, next to the Gaoyou Lake, you can go to worship, very effective.
The ancient monastery beside the canal is extremely beautiful. The ancient pagoda in the monastery is called the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the south. The monuments here are absolutely bright. The surrounding canal environment is excellent. Come and see it. It's absolutely relaxed and comfortable.
Zhenguo Temple is quite far away. The temple that called a tricycle to go to is quite large and can be climbed up to the telescope.
No tickets are needed. The Zhenguo Temple and the Zhenguo Tower on Hexin Island are all good. They are worth visiting.
Walking through the Yucheng post and the canal embankment, you will naturally see a square seven-storey Pavilion brick tower in the middle of the river. It is this brick tower that attracts Gao Post's third stop, visiting Zhenguo Temple. Zhenguo Temple is located on an island between Gaoyou Lake and Beijing-Hangzhou Canal. It is surrounded by water. A corridor connects the Temple with the lake embankment. The most surprising thing is that Zhenguo Temple is also a free attraction, which is worth visiting.
