I was there with two kids and we all had fun. There are definitelly many interesting things for adults to learn but also interactive stuff in the middle which will entertain kids. Downstairs you can find play-room which I think is suitable for kids 13+. If you want to know about Australian sports definitely place to visit. Price: Adult 27 AUD and kids free till 5 years.

The NSM is located inside the Melbourne Cricket Ground which is an awesome way to kill two birds with one stone. The NSM boasts all sports with emphasis on the AFL, Cricket and some horse racing. They also have an interactive area is great for kids!

A friend of a friend had suggested coming here during our holiday to Melbourne, but other than that I hadn''t heard much about it. We walked there and back from our hotel (3-4km each way) and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the museum. The interactive components were fantastic. A very easy way to fill in a couple of hours!
This museum belongs to the Melbourne Cricket Ground. We came here after visiting the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The museum is very informative and there is an interesting interactive area downstairs (suitable for all ages). We went at lunchtime on Monday, only one school group left when we arrived, and we basically enjoyed it here alone!
