Apart from the left military museum, there are many different exhibits on the war, which have been described since World War I and are now quite interesting in terms of military armaments. If you have no interest in military and history, you can go to the viewing platform and enjoy the park from 360 degrees from the height. Have a picnic on the grassland afterward.
It was a touching thing for me to come to the memorial to remember my father and grandfather. The educational displays in Melbourne were great. But I really hope some visitors come with awe and don't shout at each other in the spacious memorial. Unfortunately, there is no staff on duty to stop this in time.
Located next to the Royal Botanic Gardens of Melbourne, it is a large memorial. The design is classical, and the front of the memorial is based on the design of the goddess of peace in ancient Greek mythology. It is also a great place to see the skyline of Melbourne, where the classical and modern are well combined.
Location Melbourne just outside the city within walking distance.Experience Beautiful structure, great surroundings of the botanical garden, beautiful trees at the entrance great place to click pictures, and if you are interested in the history this is one of the place to be. We were there just to click some pictures but I guess there is more to see and explore at the place. ServiceNo shops around it's within the walking distance from the city surroundings.
Another awesome Australian war memorial I visited. There is amazing museum, and if you go up you will get amazing view on city for free. I had really great time but because I was there with kids I will need to go there again to enjoy properly because this shrine deserve that. After visiting this place is great idea to make some Anzac biscuits :)
Beautiful tribute to the soldiers of Victoria. We happened to be in the area on Remembrance Day, so visiting the shrine was even more meaningful. Climb up to the top to get a great view of Melbourne.
Gorgeous place to go to learn about Australia's involvement in the world wars. Particularly wonderful to visit in the lead up to Anzac Day.
Not a favorite but I also don''t discourage others to go here. If you are into war history, of course, this is the exact place for you. I did not find this place too stimulating but I''m sure others will or do.
