#2024wish The Loft Pizzeria and Bar has recently opened a new branch at Gurney Plaza, and we knew we had to give it our second try. Why second? Because our first experience at their first branch at Love Lane was pretty mediocre. While the ambience and interior was really beautiful and sophiticated, the pizza was still subpar. The creamy mushroom soup and creme brulee was great though! Rating (out of 5): ⭐️⭐️⭐️

#myfoodies Along Gurney Drive, you’ll be able to spot this restaurant — Jia Shi Restaurant 家式, meaning home-style. They serve a wide variety of dishes, vegetables, tofu, meat, fish, you name it! We ordered dishes such as stir-fried glass noodles, stir-fried oyster noodles, braised fish with yam, stir-fried french beans with dried shrimps, shrimp date and tofu with eggplant. All the dishes were good! The portion was pretty decent considering the price. It is quite crowded when we patronized the restaurant but there is plenty of seats available. The best Muslim Steamboat and Grill...so many choices of foods ..seafoods, meats (chicken, beef, mutton), pastry, pasta, fried rice and many more...you will never regret by coming here...I can guarantee that..been here for the second time....reasonable price despite of the variety of foods...

#mytripvlog Gurney district in Penang is famous as a food district, especially for tourists. Since Covid 19 pandemic, most food stalls have been closed, including the popular one, next to Gurney Plaza. When I was driving around, I saw this Coco Island food centre, so I decided to give it a try, and it didn't disappoint me. The seating has indoor and outdoor, of course, I prefer outdoor. The ambiance is very nice, very clean, and the services are good. The food has wide varieties and definitely is hard to choose, because all looks good. Cha kweo tiaw, grill seafood and the fruit rojak are damm good. Mamma Mia, I like it all!!!! You should give it a try, if you are visiting this area. #JoonBondTripVlog2

This used to be one of Penang’s longest and most beautiful beaches. Some of my senior friends recall how they used to come here to swim when they were young. But today, you’d barely believe you are next to the sea. At current, Gurney Drive is an eyesore of a reclamation land project which will host a park where there was the sea. There’s metal fencing along the whole drive, and it kind of look like a prison. Stop aping Singapore, dear Penang: can you be yourself sometimes, please? But Gurney Drive is where gullible tourists come to have overpriced “authentic” Penang Food, and browse the two huge shopping malls, Gurney and Gurney Paragon. #winhkflight 📍Kopitiam Song River Kopitiam Song River is an eatery that is strategically located at the hustling bustling Gurney drive, attracting both locals and visitors. It is a small food hub selling local delicacies and snacks. The chatters of the patrons add up to the liveliness of the store. My go to order whenever I’m here would be the roasted chicken wing. Stepping foot into the kopitiam, the enticing aroma of roasted chicken wing just filled the air, it was so good you have to order it! The chicken wing is nicely roasted, the skin of the roasted chicken wing has a nice crisp to it and it is coated with honey, while the inside is nice and tender. Dipping into the chilli sauce provided is a 10/10! We ordered a few other food like pan mee, fried stuff and all of the food served was good and they were served pretty fast! I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!

New looks of Gurney Drive Penang really impressed me once I reached there since 1 month ago. We stay at Hotel Evergreen located at right away along Gurney Drive. Which is 20 minutes walk distance from Gurney shopping mall centre and hawkers stalls centre as well. New looks of Gurney Drive really nice with what a stunning view and with the new leisure park as well. Especially morning view really refreshing when you step down to this park for jogging or for a short morning walk. This centralised place is one of the best food establishments the Penang authorities have created. There are just so many different types of food that is available here. Just get to this 1 place and have your fill. Order minimal quantity to share amongst your group so that each individual can experience as much of the variety as possible.
