This church is part of the Jeronims monastery and separates from the cloister. Access to the church is free, but access to the cloister costs €10. If you want to know if both are worth it, I highly recommend visiting the monastery as well. They are very different and the cloister is the highlight. The church has some very interesting features, but overall it is quite gloomy and dark and simply does not prepare you for the magnificent cloisters and monastery grounds.

This beautiful church (free admission on the side of Jeronims Abbey) is very special and instructive. It has a gothic appearance, a huge and bare ear and back hall, a beautiful portal, and interior pillars covered with Renaissance bas-reliefs. On one entrance, on both sides are the mausoleums of Vasco de Gama and Carmos, behind a beautiful ear hall, various sarcophagus and chapel of kings and princes. Definitely worth a visit
St. Emilan Church is a part of the monastery. The courtyard is deeply seemingly inconspicuous but it contains many monuments. The paintings on the magnificent ceiling of the beautiful gold wall in the church can be compared with the breathtaking Vatican.
The church is part of the monastery of St. Imela and can be visited for free without signing up for guided tours. The most commendable part of the church is its ceiling murals, which are large in composition and bright in color. There are also some skeletons of bishops inside the church.
St. Imela's monastery is located in the complex on the southern edge of the old town, and you must take a guided-tour to visit the monastery, which is now a museum.
