Ghent was a great surprise for us with amazing architecture, a smart plan for city lightning, awesome beer and food, museums, cathedral, lots of history and nice people. Just walking the streets is a pleasure, with vivid, picturesque cityscapes and wonderful stories.
There is an ancient alley in the center of Ghent. The road here is not wide, with high walls on both sides, but full of characteristics. It's a continuous graffiti, with different styles but also uniform. Very interesting and very depressing.
The city center of Ghent is the central area of the old city. The most famous is the clock tower and the Cotton Exchange, and of course the St. Nicholas Cathedral and surrounding houses. Being here is like being in ancient Europe, you can appreciate history and culture.
