Basongcuo is also known as the Gaogao Lake. The Tibetan language means green water. It is about 18 kilometers long, with a lake area of about 27 square kilometers, the deepest point is 120 meters, and the lake is 3480 meters above sea level. is located in the high gorge deep valley of the upper reaches of Bahe, about 36 kilometers away from Bahe Town, Jiangda County, Gongbu County. It is a famous Shenhu and holy land of Hongjiao. Basongcuo was awarded the National Scenic Area in 1994, and was listed as a World Tourism Area by the World Tourism Organization. In 2000, it was rated as the first national 4A level scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration.
