When I arrived in Munich but didn't taste Bavaria's most famous beer in the Hofbräuhaus, the trip was really imperfect.
This simple and elegant quadrilateral building, as the former royal palace, has witnessed its glory days.
The Old Court was the former Imperial residence of a Roman Emperor. It was destroyed during the War and rebuilt. There is a tower that stands out from the modern looking architecture, called the 'Monkey Tower' with an amusing reason behind it.
The old palace is one of the most beautiful buildings in Munich in my memory. As the royal residence, it is luxurious and elegant. The citizens of Munich kindly call it an old friend. It has witnessed the glory and silence of Munich.
You still really like this kind of palace, it feels very beautiful in the Middle Ages
