Experience the culture and wisdom from 3,000 years ago
The Sanxingdui Museum is located at the northeast corner of the Sanxingdui site, a key national cultural relics protection unit, on the bank of the Yazi River in the west of Guanghan City, Sichuan Province, a historic and cultural city. It is a large modern thematic site museum in China.
The ticket price for the Sanxingdui Museum is 72 yuan for a standard ticket, 65 yuan for a discounted ticket, 36 yuan for a student ticket, 5 yuan for a garden ticket, free for children under 1.3 meters, and free for seniors over 60 years old. The museum is open all year round, from 9 am to 5 pm. Visitors can navigate to 'Sanxingdui Museum Parking Lot' using navigation software, or take an intercity train from Chengdu East Station to Guanghan North Station, and then take the Guanghan No. 13 bus directly to the new Sanxingdui Museum.
Is the Sanxingdui site related to aliens?
Directions: There are parking signs on the road, and parking is free. The road surface is not very even, tips: 1. The entrance to the museum is at the end of the parking lot, try to park further inside.
2. Hire a reliable guide, who will not gossip like a typical tour guide, nor will he introduce each relic one by one like a typical interpreter. Instead, he emphasizes cultural integration, linking several Chinese civilizations together. He uses logic and relevant academic articles and viewpoints to prove the credibility of his interpretations.
Q1: Why do some masks have flat tops?
Pictures two to six all show different hairstyles or hat styles. It is speculated that there was something supporting on top of the flat head, but it has either been lost or carbonized over the years. For example, the carbonization of the wooden part of the gold staff, leaving only the gold staff or flat head. Like the hollow clenched fist of the priest, it is possible that the ivory inside has carbonized.
Q2: Why are there so many damaged artifacts? Picture seven
Historian Xu Zhuoyun's interpretation in 'Jingwei Huaxia' is: a ritual for dealing with the 'society of a fallen nation'. This 'absolute connection to heaven' method was used to sever the connection between humans and deities, thereby ending the divine power of the former dynasty, preventing the already fallen group from challenging or overturning the new rulers.
Another explanation is that a severe earthquake once occurred at Sanxingdui, damaging the artifacts at the epicenter, which were then buried together. This is also historically verifiable.
Q3: Is the gold mask outside the bronze mask an exotic style?
Pictures eight to ten tell of the integration of Sanxingdui culture and Northwestern culture. The same gold masks are also found in artifacts from Tibet, Xinjiang, and other places.
Q4: Do those exaggerated shapes (after picture twelve) or the steering wheel creativity from different eras come from aliens?
We can find many similarities between the Baodun culture, Sanxingdui culture, and Jinsha culture, which are all located on the Chengdu Plain, as well as with the Liangzhu culture (carbonized rice), Erlitou culture, and archaeological artifacts from Jiangxi, Hunan, and other places. Perhaps these shapes originated from nature worshipped by the people of Sanxingdui, such as eyes, elephants, the sun, etc.
Finally, let's look at the cover shape related to Shu, which is related to silkworms. Shu embroidery has been found many times in the artifacts, and the last picture is an antique bronze lamp decoration at the entrance of the museum.
Only one two-thousandth of Sanxingdui has been excavated, and without written records, there are many possible interpretations. Hopefully, with the help of technology and the use of logic, we will be able to explain more of the unsolved mysteries.
OutdoorExplorerExtraordinaire Sanxingdui Museum · A must-visit in this lifetime
The Sanxingdui Museum is located at the northeast corner of the Sanxingdui site, a key national cultural relic protection unit, on the banks of the famous historical and cultural city of Xiyuhe in Guanghan, Sichuan Province, 38 kilometers south and 26 kilometers north of Deyang. It is a large modern thematic site museum in China.
The Sanxingdui Museum has two exhibition halls, with a total exhibition area of nearly 12,000 square meters, divided into the first exhibition hall (comprehensive hall, exhibiting gold, bronze, jade, stone, pottery, and other cultural relics) and the second exhibition hall (Bronze Hall). The two exhibition halls have a large scale, exquisite layout, and content with exhibition rhythm and ups and downs, which, with their interpretation of knowledge, stories, decoration, and fun, powerfully reveal the profound connotations of the Sanxingdui cultural relics, reflecting the brilliance of the Sanxingdui civilization, giving visitors the feeling of being there and experiencing a national journey.
The Sanxingdui Museum covers an area of about 33 hectares, with a greening area of over 80%, featuring a beautiful environment, suitable layout, open paths, weeping willows, unique flowers of ancient Shu, and lake and island shadows everywhere, reflecting the perfect combination of human culture and nature in western Sichuan, with elegant and natural garden characteristics. The appearance of the museum's main building seeks to combine the charm of the terrain, historical relics, and the art of cultural relic shapes, blending primitive meaning with a modern atmosphere. The exhibition hall buildings are semi-arc-shaped sloping ecological buildings, promoting the humanistic spirit of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and the two exhibition hall buildings are three deformed spiral buildings, symbolizing both 'piling three stars' and 'the evolution of human history'. Outside the exhibition halls, there is a grand ancient sacrificial platform and modern cultural and sports activity venues for large-scale performances, expressing the ancient, vast, and profound historical significance of the Sanxingdui culture.

The parent-child themed B&B is truly unrivaled!
B&B is my number one choice, just a snap and it's a painting.
Another delightful weekend of 2 days and 1 night
This weekend was full of surprises and beauty
Every weekend, I take the kids to different B&Bs, hotels, or campsites to experience various lifestyles
We've practiced different ways of living and visited countless places
This weekend, we stayed in the countryside
I absolutely adore this place
With the stunning blue sky and white clouds
A casual snap is like an oil painting
❤️❤️❤️ Currently, in my heart, it's a perfect B&B.
It's less than 1h by car from Chengdu 🚗, just off Xindu towards Guanghan direction
Less than 5 kilometers from the B&B is the famous "Sanxingdui Museum". I wanted to take the kids there the next day, but we didn't book the tickets for Sanxingdui in advance
The village is famous for its shrimp ponds
The crayfish 🦞 we eat in summer are all from here
The B&B has no obstructions
You can see wheat fields 🌾 as far as the eye can see
Especially in the month of April
Spring here is truly enjoyable and beautiful.
🏡 We stayed in the largest suite
3 toilets, 2 showers, 2 hot tubs
2 king-size beds of 1.8m
Fully met the needs of our two families to stroll with the kids
Children here can also feed little 🐑 lambs, little white rabbits 🐰, catch crayfish 🦞
Make fans, make glutinous rice cakes, so many parent-child activities
The B&B has a lot of activity space
Honestly, one day is simply not enough
I plan to come back for at least 3 days and 2 nights next time
Otherwise, it's not satisfying at all, the kids are happy and so are we
A parent-child hotel with few people and beautiful scenery, in the rice fields listening to the summer evening breeze and the chirping of insects, watching tired birds return to their nests, fishing for crayfish 🦞, feeding lambs 🐑, rabbits 🐰, and ducklings 🦆. I really love nature. Oh, except for the various flying insects 🦟 that come at you. Bai Manchuan is really bright white. I wonder if someone with OCD can tolerate the fossilized fly kisses on the walls
I've been asked countless times! You must stay at this magical homestay with kids
You can't miss this family-friendly homestay, the environment is very beautiful, the transportation is convenient, near the Sanxingdui site
There is a huge outdoor activity area. Children's entertainment area. It's a great place for taking kids out

Guanghan·Zhuang Sheng Xiao Yue, a classical garden private bath hotel next to Sanxingdui!
Guanghan·Zhuang Sheng Xiao Yue Garden Hotel
Location: Yanjiang South Road, Guanghan City, Deyang City, Sichuan Province!
The hotel is located in Guanghan, a historical and cultural city in Sichuan, adjacent to the Sanxingdui Museum. It is a luxury garden-style hotel with grey-white walls, blue brick tiles, and picturesque waters... Here, nature intertwines with culture, secluded from the city, nestled among lush woods. With the arrival of spring, why not come for a unique urban oasis private garden experience.
Zhuang Sheng Xiao Yue covers an area of over 40 acres, with a design that draws inspiration from Jiangnan courtyards and classical Sichuanese residential architecture, integrating the garden water system into the hotel. The lush gardens weave between the hotel buildings, creating a harmonious unity of interior and exterior landscapes. Strolling through the hotel, the courtyards are nested and interconnected, presenting a spatial sense of changing scenery with every step.
With only thirty-six rooms, the room type for this stay is the 'Garden View Private Bath Courtyard', which is spacious at 180 square meters and offers excellent privacy. Witness aliens, adjacent to the Sanxingdui Museum! A secluded garden hot spring hotel hidden in the city
As one of the hottest destinations around Chengdu, Sanxingdui is an excellent spot to explore the mysterious ancient Shu civilization. Right next to Sanxingdui, there is a newly opened luxury garden-style hotel—Zhuang Sheng Xiao Yue. It creates an ideal haven in the city of Guanghan, a place for mental and physical balance, and an ideal base for exploring the ancient Shu culture.
Design
The hotel covers an area of over 30,000 square meters, adopting the architectural style of Chinese courtyards. The courtyard is centered around a lake, with lush trees, flowers, and plants brought into the garden, where natural silhouettes can be seen everywhere. Wandering through it, one can appreciate the ancient charm and elegance of its garden landscape, as if time stands still here, and the mood becomes relaxed.
Rooms
The hotel has 36 classical elegant rooms and separate courtyards, hidden among the lush gardens. It is worth mentioning that each room is quite spacious, and the garden view private hot spring courtyard that I stayed in this time even has a hot spring that comes right into the room, with a generous 180 square meters. The room amenities are all carefully selected and full of style. Bluetooth speakers, floor heating, fully automatic luxury toilets, high-layered beds, tribute silk bedding, and a choice of pillows, etc.
Dining
Of course, the restaurant's culinary skills are also outstanding. The all-day restaurant 'Xiao Yue' can accommodate 200 people in the main hall and has 5 elegant private rooms, offering creative cooking methods to interpret fresh ingredients, local flavors, fusion cuisine, and nourishing soup pots. The coffee workshop and lobby lounge are places to while away the time and are not-to-be-missed social hubs.
Facilities
The hotel has a 5,000 square meter sports center, divided into three
floors. The first floor has a constant temperature swimming pool and a steam room, the second floor is equipped with fitness equipment and an aerobics hall, and the third floor has badminton, table tennis, and an archery hall. This is a great place to sweat out and release dopamine.
is garden hotel is really superb
The hotel opened in 2023, simultaneously with the Sanxingdui New Museum. It's only a 7-minute walk from Sanxingdui, occupying a prime location that's worth its weight in gold.
The entire garden hotel includes a 2000 square meter bakery cafe, a 3000 square meter restaurant, and a 5000 square meter sports center. Even the rooms start at 180 square meters, truly meant for the well-to-do~
Bakery Cafe: The coffee beans used in the shop are all imported green beans that are roasted in-house~ The ambiance is also French retro romantic, especially love the various large glass windows and oil paintings
Xiaoyue Restaurant: Specializes in fusion cuisine, and it feels like friends from any city won't be disappointed.
Sports Center: This is the first time I've seen such a large fitness center, with a constant temperature swimming pool on the first floor, an equipment area on the second floor, and a ball games hall on the third floor. There are also Pilates, boxing classes, and archery sports which are really great. Self-disciplined buddies and those who love sports must not miss ou

❤️About Longju Temple:
Carved beams and painted rafters, wooden dragons winding around, hence the name Longju Temple. It is said to have been built by the eighth ancestor of Zen Buddhism in the Tang Dynasty, Master Mazu Dao. The main hall was rebuilt during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. There are 10 murals painted in the second year of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty (1466) on the four walls of the hall. The murals depict the twelve round enlightened bodhisattvas, along with disciples, protectors, and donors.

Because of a photo of the Vajra pillar
Found this unattended but historical and genuine ancient temple. Even the monument for cultural relics protection was erected in 1956.
Longju Ancient Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in Guanghan City with a reasonable layout, complete functions, unique murals, many jade Buddhas, many pagodas, and unique characteristics. It was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit in 2012. Longju Temple was built in the Tang Dynasty, originally for Emperor Li Shimin's war tea station for the eighth ancestor of Buddhism, Master Mazu Dao, and was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty,
Except for the main hall built in the Ming Dynasty,
The rest of the ancient buildings are from the Qing Dynasty, and there are also many newly built halls in modern times
1. The main hall of the Ming Dynasty has been enclosed and is not open to the public. I saw the introduction outside the hall saying that the Ming Dynasty murals inside. The master of traditional Chinese painting, Zhang Daqian, visited Longju Temple to admire the Ming Dynasty murals, praising them as "having the style of Dunhuang murals".
2. Vajra pillar:
This image is a foreigner who followed the Tang Dynasty Master Mazu Dao, who was very strong and didn't talk much, and looked mighty
When building the scripture tower, a wooden pillar accidentally fell and broke a section,
At the critical moment, the foreigner stepped forward and held it up with his hand, and the merit was completed, so there is this image of Vajra with angry eyes.
3. Tree house on the ancient tree: The ancient trees in the temple are towering, the canopy is like a cover, witnessing the millennium vicissitudes of Longju Temple!
Longju Temple, Hanzhou Street, Guanghan City, Sichuan Province
It takes 18 minutes from Chengdu East Station to Guanghan North by high-speed rail
Bus No. 9 goes directly to the entrance of Longju Temple (one bus per hour)
This exquisite temple around Chengdu is worth a visit!
📍: Longju Temple
🚗: 1h drive from downtown Chengdu
This temple is very niche
Exquisite and compact, it has a sense of age
Choose a good weather, and set off with your friends!
Thank you for reading
See you next time!

Sanxingdui Museum Guide | A Gaze Through Thousands of Years
A gaze through thousands of years. Standing before the ancient Shu civilization, one harbors immense reverence for the gods of heaven and earth! A thousand-year stare and mutual gaze, as if the 'Classic of Mountains and Seas' is truly a splendid tale of immortality from ancient times~ After watching the Sanxingdui documentary at home with my brother for a while, and being archaeologically intrigued for some time, our desire to explore Sanxingdui grew stronger! Finally, in the off-peak travel season of March, my brother and I scheduled a visit to Sanxingdui!
.
📍 Sanxingdui Museum
🚄 If departing from another city, take the high-speed train to Guanghan North Station (⚠️Do not go to Sanxingdui Station, as it is difficult to get a taxi there, and it is far from the museum, Guanghan North Station is the closest)
🚌 If departing from Chengdu, take the direct bus to Sanxingdui Museum from Chunxi Road, the journey takes 1 hour
🎫 Ticket: ¥72 (Remember to book in advance, tickets are released at 20:00 every day, and can be booked 5 days in advance. ⚠️If you don't get a ticket, do not go to the site, as tickets are not sold on-site! Don't make a wasted trip)
✅ Many at the museum entrance are not official guides, and I personally think most are not very professional, so I suggest renting an audio guide or booking an official tour!
✅ Visiting hours: Open all year
Exhibition Hall 8:30-18:00 (entry stops at 17:00)
Restoration Hall 9:00-17:00
.
2️⃣ Visiting Strategy
The Sanxingdui culture, which 'slept for thousands of years and awoke to astonish the world,' was first discovered in 1929. After nearly a century of excavation, restoration, and scientific research, a large new museum was finally opened in 2023, presenting many astonishing cultural relics to the public once again!
✅ Step into the exhibition hall, where the new museum's theme 'Ancient City, Ancient State, Ancient Shu Culture' is divided into three major exhibition areas: 'Century of Dreams,' 'Majestic Capital,' and 'Heaven, Earth, Man, and Gods,' each with different exhibition units.
✅ 'Century of Dreams' and 'Majestic Capital' are on the first floor, while 'Heaven, Earth, Man, and Gods' is on the second floor. The new museum is about five times the size of the original museum and displays many more artifacts. In addition to the artifacts from Sacrificial Pits No. 1 and No. 2, it also displays artifacts from the latest round of archaeological excavations, with over 1,500 items including pottery, bronzes, jades, and gold objects, which is more than three times the number of artifacts previously exhibited, and nearly 600 items are being displayed for the first time
✅ The new museum is noteworthy for its use of many new technologies, such as AI algorithms for artifact restoration and naked-eye 3D reconstruction of archaeological 'cabinets,' making the exhibition experience richer and more immersive
✅ The first floor is divided into two exhibition areas: 'Century of Dreams' and 'Majestic Capital.'
It narrates the journey of Sanxingdui's archaeological excavations and interprets the natural environment, social landscape, urban layout, and power structure of the ancient Sanxingdui state from the perspective of civilization exploration. (The famous large standing bronze figure is in this area)
✅ The second floor 'Heaven, Earth, Man, and Gods' exhibition area displays exquisite artifacts unearthed from the sacrificial area, focusing on important ritual vessels used by the ancient Shu people in sacrificial activities (mainly including the bronze sacred tree, human-faced bird body, vertical-eyed bronze figure, golden mask, etc.)
Awesome! The ancient Shu site, Sanxingdui! Super healing large garden resort hotel! I don't want to leave when I live in
The hotel is located at No. 125, West 4th Section of Changsha Road, Guanghan City, and it takes 15 minutes to walk to the ancient Shu site Sanxingdui Museum.
It is about 30 minutes from Chengdu city and about 50 minutes by car from the airport. It is a large garden resort hotel preferred by guests in the southwest region.
The hotel has VIP building rooms and courtyard rooms, various sizes of professional conference rooms, elegantly decorated Yuzhenge Chinese restaurant, antique teahouse and outdoor swimming pool, KTV and other supporting leisure and entertainment facilities.
The hotel is located in the national key cultural relics protection unit----the comfortable pile museum cultural tourism area. Outside the garden is the Duck River, where you can watch rare bird migrations; inside the garden, there are small bridges and flowing water, winding paths leading to secluded spots, pavilions, water pavilions, lake light and water colors integrated with classical garden architecture, fully demonstrating the human landscape of ancient Shu culture and distinctive regional characteristics, allowing guests to personally feel the style of the ancient Shu garden.
