Guangxi has a lot to offer from mountains to Detien water falls and Minshi village.
🏞 Nature is what Guangxi is all about Detien waterfalls, Rice field in Guilin, and the cosmic Reed flute caves. definitely a lot to see
⛩ Ancient architecture is also very easy to see. many old streets and neighbourhoods can be found dotted around. Nanning the capital has a nice pedestrian area with old buildings. And Beihai has a good place to see an old colonial street with French and English architecture.
🍜 Food in Guangxi is a little sweet, fresh and light. coconut hotpot is a must try, as well as stir fried rice, with local steamed fish. Every town and city has a different way to prepare these dishes. but they are all very good!
⛪️ Weizhou Island is also close by with a well preserved French Church almost no one talks about. The nature and the scenery is amazing. 🙂
Cuiping Hills (also known as Wuzhi hills) is a highly underrated location. Its in Putao town which is about 25km from Yangshuo (It took us 50 mins by electric bike on a rainy day). Xiangong and Laozhai mountains are more popular and full of crowds, and are often annoying because of the huge number of people. However, Cuiping hills have equally amazing views and very few people on this hike. You’ll feel totally amidst nature and its glory, and most importantly away from hundreds of onlookers pushing each other to take pics. There are nicely cut rock steps which makes the hike easy and the entire hike up the mountains take 15 mins only. Would highly recommend this if you are in Yangshuo. #guilintravel #yangshuo #mountainview

Ambiance/Facilities - Our family loved the Tea Cozy Inn bc the rooms were big enough for two kids and two parents, the pool was the perfect end of day cool down and the restaurant offered both adventurous Chinese dishes and kid friendly pizza and pasta.
Highlights - the inn had bikes available to borrow and ride to several sites and attractions like the butterfly sanctuary and the silver cave.

In the early spring of March, you can swim in the Lijiang River. Feel the psychedelic landscape
smoke and rain. The Yangshuo is a bit psychedelic and a bit cold.
morning made a fan in three thousand ,, seemingly ordinary fan to go through 12 procedures, silking, veneering, trimming, wrapping... really not simple, see the fan slowly Forming, the heart is filled with a sense of accomplishment, you can also make a creation on the fan, draw your favorite pattern.
In the afternoon, I will go to the Lijiang River. It takes only 10 minutes to drive from Sanqian. This is a 20 yuan RMB scene. The clouds are haunting, and the mountains near and far are in different shades. On a rainy day, you can see the Lijiang River. There is a flavor in the scenery.
You can then walk to Xingping Ancient Town, take a leisurely stroll around the alleys of the ancient city, and buy some specialty products by the way, recommend loose sugar and dried Guilin rice noodles...
Four seasons of flowers, living in the clouds
in the last night of Yangshuo, chose this four seasons Yunqi Hotel, convenient location, quiet and comfortable, service intimate, very worthy of recommendation, praise to my friends Come here to run an idyllic wedding.
When we went, it was a pity because it was a rainy day, otherwise we could go to the rape field next to it, super beautiful.
Hotel location. The hotel is located in the Yulong River Scenic Area, next to the ancient scenery of Guilin. It takes only 10 minutes to walk past Guilin.
Hotel environment. The whole is a simple Chinese style, comfortable and warm. We stayed in the courtyard panoramic suite, the courtyard was spacious, the scenery was invincible, surrounded by countryside, the air was sweet, and it was quiet and comfortable.
hotel service. The butler is super intimate, meticulous, and can also arrange car transfers when entering or leaving the hotel. The breakfast is authentic Guilin rice noodles, as well as exquisite afternoon tea and good night desserts. You can also arrange a tour if you need it. There is also a yoga class that can be arranged here~ Its great, we have an hour of yoga class the next morning, then go to the breakfast, a healthy life~
about the reservation. We set up on Trip, search for the four seasons Yunqi Hotel in Yangshuo, the price of the off-season peak season is different, between 600-1800.
Yangshuo was one of the best #chinatrips I have ever been on.
Nature out there is wild.
An absolute MUST DO if in China!
Fly into Guilin, spend one day/night in the city and then get yourself to Yangshuo for the unforgettable sights!
Use a local tour guide (#supportsmallbusiness) and enjoy the views from your scooter!
When it comes to hiking, China is super blessed with all the mountains and with less harmful animals. Thus as we decided to walk the talk with the nature, it led us to Guangxi province where the trails and perfectly laid (as we're not hardcore hikers) and quite a relaxing hike we had. After the hike for a while, we ventured to a nearby village to have a look at their customs and traditions. We participated in the local dance performance and the lucky one got a garland (that's me 😋). Later in the trip, we also went to see the Silver caves, which is quite magnificent. These caves are formed by volcanic flow some 1000 years of ago and still the ground holds, so we can go around and have a look. Guangxi is a must visit to all the tourist in here. #leaveyourmark #guangxi #hiking #urbanexplorer
20 kilometres southeast of Guilin lies a tranquil little ancient town: Daxu. It sits on the bank of the Li River, and it’s main alley stretches to at least 2.5km long. Along the stretch of the Main Street is a stunning array of historic architecture, including this stunning carving of a dragon wrapping itself round a pillar of the Longevity Temple.⠀
The main street of Daxu Ancient Town runs parallel to the river, and is lined with bright red lanterns and tables filled with little trinkets, second hand antiques, colourful handmade clothes and local treats!⠀
Walk further down and you’ll witness local life at its finest: chickens roaming free, the elderly reclining as they watch tv and parents cooking hearty homestyle meals for their children.

As mostly when we do the travel, it is like a protocol that we stay in a hotel and go to touristy places. But this time we decided to turn a stranger to a friend; yea I'm talking about homestay. This house we contacted through a mutual friend and they are more than glad to have us in their house. So we had a warm stay in Guilin village, with lunch & dinner from freshly caught pond fish and other yummies. We had two relaxed days at their place and later on third day went to have a look in the city; also went to the famous elephant nose hill with lot of elephants playing around there 😋 (ofcourse dummies they are). So next time, try something different like a home stay and relax !! #qingmingtravel #urbanexplorer
