Yaozhou Ruins

The Yaozhou site is located at No. 86, Education Road, Guangzhou. It is a royal garden built in the Nanhan period. The pavilion, lake, pavilion, tree, corridor and stone are arranged just right and interesting.

Occasionally passing through Yuexiu District Education Road, a very inconspicuous door attracted me, antique red door hanging on the "Yaozhou Site" Hengxuan, with curiosity, walked in, saw a small courtyard inlaid in the high-rise downtown. According to reports, this courtyard was built by the master of the South Han Dynasty Liu Yu when he cut it from Lingnan. Liu Yu gathered the Fangshi Alchemy here, so it was called Yaozhou. The site of Yaozhou is located on Education Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, China, also known as Jiuhui Garden. In the five generations of Nanhan Ganheng for three years (919), the founding emperor Liu 䶮 in the area of Xihu Road and Education Road, the original natural pool marsh is used to cut the long lake 500 feet (about 1600 meters today), known as West Lake or Xianhu. Back more than a thousand years ago, after the flourishing Tang Dynasty, the period of division was the Southern Han Dynasty, when Guangzhou was called Panyu, the capital of the Southern Han Dynasty. Now along the West Lake Road and the Education Road, there is a sparkling West Lake, where Liu Li, the grandfather of the Southern Han Dynasty, built the Southern Palace Imperial Garden. As for the origin of the name "Yaozhou", some people say that it is because there were ancient prescriptions in this alchemy for immortals, and there is also a saying that there were many peony flowers planted here. Nine famous stones of the Southern Han Dynasty, also known as "nine Obsidian stones", remain in the site. For thousands of years, many literati and ink-writers have left precious stone inscriptions on the stones, the most famous of which is the word "Yaozhou" inscribed by Mi Fu, a calligrapher of the Northern Song Dynasty. Zhou Dunyi, who once wrote "Ailian said", lived here during the Northern Song Dynasty. The Imperial Palace thousands of years ago, has been annihilated in time, leaving only a small pond, the bottom of which is covered with green grass, the surface of which is patches of moss, feeling a little desolate and shattered. Yaozhou Site is diagonally opposite to Exit D of the Metro Park Front Station. Looking up, you can see it. Next door is the South Theatre. Lake, bridge, stone, flower, this landscape is not better than the south of the Yangtze River. The pool is full of stone tablets inscribed by celebrities. The most famous word "Yaozhou" is Mifu's handwriting at the gate. Back then, Mifu, Su Dongpo, Zhou Dunyi and others all used to have their feather fans and silk towels here, and to have a few pints of tea.
