Haikou Zhongshan Road is a famous street in China. The arcades here are full of Lingnan and Nanyang characteristics. Most of the arcades were built by overseas Chinese who returned from Nanyang in the early last century with reference to the architectural style of Nanyang. The floors are not high, most of them are two or three floors, and more than a dozen arcades are connected together, which is very spectacular. The promenade in front of the shophouse connects the entire block, which can shield pedestrians from the scorching sun and heavy rain, and is also an open communication place for the shop to attract customers.
