Photos of Former residence of Zhimo Xu

This is the residence of Xu Zhimo and Lu Xiaoman, a famous modern poet, essayist, and soul of the "Crescent School" in my country after their marriage. Built in 1926, the former residence is a small western-style building combining Chinese and Western styles. The former residence has a construction area of 600 square meters, with two entrances in the front and rear, three rooms and two floors in the main building, and east and west wing buildings in the front. There are also three rooms in the back building, and there is a terrace on the roof, which can be accessed. Above the gate of the former residence, there is a handwritten "Former Residence of the Poet Xu Zhimo" written by the poet's cousin Jin Yong. On both sides of the ground floor of the main building, there are displays of Xu Zhimo's family history, life, thoughts and literary activities, showing the poet's short and colorful life. The main hall, bedroom and study have been restored and displayed, reproducing the poet's family and living place.
