Great experience. A group of friends sat right on the train tracks and ate a delicious meal. I strongly recommend the smoked goose. Absolutely beautiful.
The ambience of the railway line with live trains is hard to beat, so the food could be awful. But it's not; it's solid Vietnamese cooking: tasty and fresh, like everywhere else in the country. The "wine list" is quite amusing and worth a tipple of a wee dram or two; no doubt there are fabulous health benefits to be had from imbibing a liqueur in which has been steeped "porcupine's stomach" or "silkworms". The novelty and booze attracts the young Western expats and backpackers and delighted my Thai and Indonesian colleagues, too. Worth a visit so you can say you were there.
came here after a friend recommended it, but was very disappointed. made a reservation (recommended) for a saturday night and it was packed! sat upstairs inside even though we asked for seating outside over the phone... pros + location is cool, fun when train passes + the food we ended up getting was tasty, especially the nem and these fried chicken things + rice wine was really good, at least the pink lemonade one (110k for a small bottle) cons - they did not have any rice!!!! they ran out!!! i repeat, this restaurant ran out of rice on a saturday night and did not go and buy more!! NO RICE - dishes are super small but expensive. example: smoked goose breast (120k) was 8 small slices only, tofu came in smaller-than-normal cubes, about 10 of them for . i live here and normally eat much more cheaply - seating upstairs was sooo uncomfortable. they need some cushions - my friend is allergic to gluten and she could barely eat anything here, many dishes are breaded just fyi verdict: this place is perfect for getting drinks, eat dinner somewhere less expensive
We came here for the great food and the nice location. It is situated next to the rail station which is nice but the service is very bad and the food even worse. Just go there if you want a drink and for the experience of having a drink while a train is tiding by or else just avoid the place. There are plenty more nice and cheaper places in Hanoi which are much better!
门口的小铁道现在也算是个人气网红景点了,连带着铁路这里小店都生意爆棚,味道其实没有啥特色,就是可以逛累了歇歇脚,然后顺带着解决一顿。
