Address: Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi 10000, Vietnam

What people are saying:

The Li Dynasty founded by Li Gongyun (Li Taizu) is the most prosperous dynasty in Vietnamese history, so Vietnamese people respect Li Taizu very much. The memorial park is located in the corner of Hoan Kiem Lake. There is a majestic and tall statue of Li Taizu, and the surrounding street trees are tall and towering. In the evening, nearby residents gather in the small square in front to skateboard and exercise. It is very lively. It gradually enters the night and lights are projected on Li Taizu. On the statue, there is a feeling of thinking about the past, and I am reluctant to cherish the hard work of the predecessors to create the style of the ancient capital of Hanoi for a thousand years. The road in front is always full of traffic. It is recommended to get up early to enjoy the peace of the morning.

    NICE BREATHING SPACE

A nice open space consisting of parks, open areas and traffic free space in an otherwise suffocating city. We spent a plasant time walking and looking at local activities. Enjoyed it.

A nice traffic free area adjacent to Hoan Kiem Lake.

    Putting up a stage.

They were putting up a stage in front of the statue which spoiled it a bit. It is worth going for the picture, but it is not something you would go out of your way for.

An inviting area of Hanoi, particularly at weekends

A small city park to the east of the lake, with a fine bronze statue. The statue is significant and other reviewers have done a good job of describing it. Go to 'Patrick D' of Warsaw Poland's revie...

    Nice big park

This parc on the eastern side of the lake is a good spot to relax. Behind the statue of Lý Thái Tổ is a nice kiosk and plenty of park benches in the shade. In the early morning groups, mainly ladies, ...
