Kwan Yin Temple in Heai is very unique. It is situated on the hill of Heai. It is a temple which combines Thai Hinayana Buddhism with our Zen Buddhism. The Kwan Yin and Guan Gong images worshipped in it are similar to us. In addition, the three famous elephant images in Heai are here. It can be said that Heai can not be avoided here.
Heai is a border town in southern Thailand, adjacent to the state of Kylandan in Malaysia. Several temples have been built on the hills in the outskirts of Heai city center and become tourist attractions. You can go up the hill on foot or by cable car. On the hill you can see the whole town of Heai.
The giant Guanyin Bodhisattva, pure and peaceful, is very admirable.
