Photos of Hana Highway

Located on Maui's rugged east coast, the Hana Highway has about 600 bends and 54 bridges. The winding Hana Road snakes its way between tropical valleys and towering cliffs, with beautiful scenery along the way, along with hiking trails deep into lush jungle, rushing waterfalls and clear water pools. All the way east from Pa’ia, there will be fewer and fewer houses, replaced by sugar cane fields. After passing the mile 16 sign on Hwy36, the Hana Highway sign began to change to Hwy36, and the signage numbers began to reset to zero.
