The PR Architects Ltd design of Helsinki Concert Hall was completed and put into use in November 2011. The building is not very high on the ground, but it is said that the main concert hall is seven stories deep underground. Many small concert halls, including the Sibelius Conservatory of Music, are underground. In fact, the height difference between the East and the west of the building is very large. The main entrance is on the high side of the road. When you enter the hall, you take a long escalator to go down two floors, which is the evacuation hall. Walking flat to the other side of the glass box, it's already on the ground.
Finlandia Hall is an impressive concert hall, with cafe and conference facilities. Many conferences have been held in this house. We saw it only from the outside. We get there after a very pleasant walk from the railway station to the Finlandia Hall. We stroll through a parklike area from the Kiasma modern art museum.
A concert and convention hall with history dating back to 1971. The beauty of the building is due to the white façade of the cararra marble.
