Contemporary art and architecture lovers should not miss the Kiasma, the contemporary art museum that is included in Finland's National Gallery in Helsinki. With fascinating displays of art and architecture demonstrating Finland's best and brightest, the Kiasma offers a unique view of modern day Finland. In addition to installations, audio landscapes and performance art, the Kiasma provides visitors a unique perspective of how art and business cooperate in Finland. The museum was created by American architect Steven Holl, who won a competition among Finnish and Baltic region architects to build the museum.
Interesting arts venue with an eclectic choice of exhibitions . Check out the upcoming Grayson Perry.
A great place all around. The building, the art, the people all make this a must see contemporary art museum. During my visit, there were hoards of young school children, which was bizarre given almost all the content in the museum was not children appropriate.
A Helsinki landmark, Kiasma is a creative contemporary art museum filled with hours worth of exhibits, films and interactive workshops. It's definitely worth a visit on any Helsinki trip, especially being a short walk from the center of the city.
Great place to soak up on modern art.
