This is tempura momiji, one of Japan’s unique dish that originated from Hiroshima. Momiji means maple leaf in Japanese. Tempura momiji is a dish where they use homemade cake-like bun filled with different fillings and fry them with tempura batter. It’s very tasty! This shop is located in Miyajima, a 10 minutes ferry ride from Miyajimaguchi station. It takes around 30 mins bus ride from hiroshima station to miyajimaguchi station. There are lots of things to see and lots of food to try on this island~ Please do lah a visit there ~ It is best to visit during Sakura season where you can enjoy the view and food at the same time ~
Birds View of Miyajima Island
When visiting Miyajima Island in Japan, you have the option to climb up to Mt. Misen to see the whole island from its highest point.
My favourite part of this journey is the breeze you get when you reach the very top. It was by no means a easy walk as paths aren’t properly crafted. On the way up to the peak you’ll see tons of geographical land formations, small temples and even mini statues that some people dress up! It is absolutely adorable!
At the peak of the mountain there is a lookout point where you can enjoy the success of your trek up the mountain. Something cool about being here is that you can see the even smaller island where they grow and harvest oysters. I’ve been told that the way oysters are grown and harvested in Hiroshima is unique as they wait for them to weigh down the wooden planks before harvesting them. Hence ensuring they are fat and juicy for consumption.

Miyajima and deers of God
Miyajima is a small island located in Hiroshima Bay, Japan, and is famous for its floating torii gate, one of Japan's most iconic landmarks and third priest place in all of Japan.
Visiting Miyajima is easy with a regular 15min ferry. Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to the 6th century is the main attraction. Its iconic torii gate appears to float on the water during high tide, and is accessible on foot during low tide.
There are other landmark attractions but perhaps the second most fascinating thing to see is the wild dear! They are considered a divine animal and roam freely. They purposefully approach visitors in search of food. Be careful though - they will eat everything, including your papers, hair and clothing if you let them!
Miyajima is famous for its oysters, which are considered some of the best in Japan. The island has many street vendors selling local specialties such as momiji manju - maple leaf-shaped cakes filled with sweet bean paste, and "deer poop ice cream". I'd recommend spending at least two hours on the island or longer if you'd like to stay for a meal.

Peace Memorial Park - Hiroshima Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Hiroshima Peace Park, a beautiful tribute.
Hiroshima was devastated by the first atomic bomb and the city has become a focal point for the global peace movement.
The Hiroshima peace park is situated at the epicentre of the bomb blast and has become a place of salvation for those seeking to understand what happened that day.
The peace dome building remains as it stood after the blast, the iconic dome sitting as one of the only things that remain from 1945 Hiroshima.
The park itself has numerous memorials throughout and of course the main peace museum.
It’s worth going early to avoid crowds and queues at the various memorials and museum

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park - Hiroshima
The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is a war memorial site dedicated to remember the Hiroshima atomic bombing. The main exhibition features common items, photos and stories of local Japanese people whose lives were affected by the bomb. The exhibition demonstrates the horror and trauma experienced by the Japanese people and it is unlike any other war stories. Around the park you can also find the A-Bomb building, which is a remnant of a prefectural industrial promotion hall that was mostly destroyed by the bomb. It is now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. You can also find monuments and cenotaphs erected to remember the victims of the bomb. #hiroshima #Japan
Transforming Sorrow into Strength🇯🇵🙏❤️
Can’t help my tears when we were in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park especially when going in inside the museum.
Visiting the Hiroshima Bomb Cenotaph, also known as the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome, can be a deeply moving and thought-provoking experience. Here are some potential experiences you might have when visiting:
1. Standing in the presence of the Atomic Bomb Dome, you can't help but feel the weight of history and the immense tragedy that occurred here. It's a somber reminder of the devastating impact of nuclear weapons.
2. As you approach the Cenotaph, you may feel compelled to pay your respects to the victims of the atomic bombing. Many visitors leave flowers, fold origami cranes, or offer prayers as a gesture of remembrance and peace.
3.The personal stories and testimonies shared in the nearby Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum can be emotionally overwhelming. Hearing firsthand accounts of survivors, known as hibakusha, and seeing artifacts from the bombing can leave a lasting impression.
4.The visit may inspire a deep reflection on the importance of peace and the need for nuclear disarmament. Many visitors leave with a renewed commitment to promoting peace and understanding in their own lives and communities.
5. Despite the dark history, the Hiroshima Bomb Cenotaph also symbolizes hope and resilience. Witnessing the ongoing efforts for peace and the city's remarkable reconstruction can inspire a sense of hope for a better future.
6. Engaging with other visitors, both local and international, who are also exploring the site can create a sense of unity and shared purpose. It's an opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives, united in their desire for peace.
Remember, everyone's experience is unique, and the impact of visiting the Hiroshima Bomb Cenotaph can vary from person to person. It's important to approach the experience with an open mind and heart, allowing yourself to be moved by the stories and history that surround you.

#tripaway What is the first thing that comes into your mind when you think of Hiroshima? Personally, I will think about the Hiroshima tragic bombing in 1945. In A bomb Dome at Peace Memorial Park, you can visit various places that are dedicated to the tragic Hiroshima atomic bombing. I was so astonished to see the partly destroyed dome despite its closeness to the hypocenter of the bombing. Instead of completely demolishing it, I am glad that the Japanese chose to preserve the building to show the world the horror of the bombing.

🚉There are international flights, in addition to direct flights to the four-country region from Shanghai, flights from other domestic cities need to transfer, which is still convenient. If you want to tour the four-country region, you can start by choosing a good landing city.

On the 2nd day of Hiroshima, you can feel the cruelty of war and enjoy the fusion of man and nature.
Hiroshima is Japan's largest city in China, and its international reputation is unquestionable. After all, Hiroshima and Nagasaki of Japan are all The only two cities in the world that have suffered from atomic bombs!
Compared to Nagasaki, Hiroshima is more modern and developed, and foreign tourists and even residents are surprisingly large. I have not seen so many foreign tourists even in Kyoto, Kyoto, Japan!
I stayed in Hiroshima for four days. In addition to two days of eating, drinking and shopping, I personally feel that you can arrange two days to play Hiroshima!
Day 1 Hiroshima City Explosion Memorial Hall - Hiroshima City
Day 2 Miyajima Day Tour
Memorial Hall is really worth visiting, you can see many of the record photos at the time, feel the nuclear war to humans The disaster and pain brought by many foreigners saw tears in the museum!
is another place other than Nara, which is occupied by the deer. If you take a boat from Hiroshima for less than ten minutes, you can consider staying on Miyajima for one night and feel the fusion of people and nature! The famous Sea Bird House has been undergoing a one-year maintenance since mid-June, so the big bird house that is now seen is "packing the legs". It may take a while to wrap the whole body! However, this does not affect the Yancheng Shrine's face value. I personally think that the Yanshima Shrine is one of the best Japanese shrines I have ever seen in Japan, and I don't want to sell tickets to enter! (Japanese shrines need tickets to enter very little)
Traffic information: Take JR to Hiroshima City, transfer to the ground train to all the attractions in Hiroshima! Miyajima needs to take JR to Miyajimaguchi and transfer to the ferry! The traffic on Miyajima is basically on foot, and you can also take a rickshaw! !
Travel Tips: There are many hotels on Miyajima. When the weather is good, you can watch the bird's nest sunset in Miyajima! In addition, Hiroshima's central commercial street is really very good to visit, drugstores are super, basically one every five meters, things are particularly complete! Friends who like to buy and buy can shop in Hiroshima!
Itsukushima Shrine's beautiful Big Bird House
is known as one of the Three Views of Japan in the island of Yando. It has a famous shrine, which is the most famous landmark in the island. The shrine mainly worships three sea goddesses in the ancient Japanese legend, which was built on the intertidal zone of the Seto Inland Seashore.
