So much fun to walk through that huge market with food, meat, souvenirs and clothes. Every aisle is different. If you don't like to bargain it is the wrong place for you! But if you like it you can just get cool stuff for little money! Bring extra time to explore everything.
Ben Thang Market, or in Vietnamese is Cho Ben Thanh, is a good place to buy souvenirs such as handicrafts, hand-woven cloths, weaves, Vietnamese arts, and even branded goods. It is a huge market in the central part of Ho Chi Minh City. We were there very quick, but I was able to buy some souvenirs from there. Great place. Wish we could've stayed longer.
Whilst most of the market is trying to sell you products there are parts that have genuine Vietnamese products that's definitely worth exploring. If you havent got any gifts yet this is the place to get them. #wintergetaway
These markets had a good range of products but were very expensive compared with Hoi An. Even when you barter with them, hard to get down to comparative price with other areas. Also need to be safety conscious here. You can buy a souvenir here.
Ben Thanh Market is a large marketplace in central Ho Chi Minh City. The market is one of the earliest surviving structures in Saigon and one of the city’s important symbols. It is very popular with tourists seeking local handicrafts, textiles, souvenirs, or local cuisine. When night falls, restaurants around the perimeter of the market open their doors creating a vibrant street side scene filling the air with the scent of wok-fried noodles, barbecued fish, and meat.
