Mariamman Hindu Temple is located near the Reunification Palace. Built in the 19th century by traders from India, the temple plays a key role in Saigon’s Hindu community. The colorful temple is decorated with many different statues to various gods and goddesses important to the Hindu faithful. The ornate decorations are quite interesting and provide a strong contrast with the surrounding buildings. Certainly if you are in central Saigon, this is an attraction worth visiting.

A Hindu temple at Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh city. It is small, but it is located at the center of a busy area. It has a mix of Indian (Tamil) and Vietnamese culture. You can admire the beauty of Vietnamese worshipping Indian god in their style. This proves that the god is unique to everyone, irrespective of the religious and cultural diversities. When Indians (particularly Tamilans) see the name 'Maduraiveeran', goosebumps guaranteed. This should be every Ho Chi Minh city tourist's must checklist, to feel the positive energy and admire the ancient architecture :)
best place to visit and relax
Mariamman is the best hindu temple in Ho Chi Minh City. We met some great people there! They were interested where are we from, what we are doing in Vietnam and wanted to know everything about us. They were smiling and extremely friendly. The temple itself is beautiful both from the inside and from the outside.
