We went here for breakfast, and this spacious café is a good alternative to L'Usine in the same back alley. They have a decent menu, with friendly staff and some flexibility for special requests. Also...
While this café is nicely located, with a balcony, and rather secluded, the menu's pricing is terrible with regards to the quality of food and drink we got. A bahn mi, Vietnam's common 20-30k street...
The building was originally built in 1868 and was once the office of the French Governor in Vietnam. Now the palace is kind of muesum, with audio content, booklet and the actual physical exhibits.

In Vietnam, the Reunification Palace can be said to be a very famous attraction. Anyone who has been to Vietnam does not have to visit there. On the second day we arrived in Vietnam, we came to the prestigious Reunification Palace.
Reunification Palace, formerly known as "Norodon Palace" was originally the French government in southern Vietnam. In 1954, the French evacuated and handed over the "Norodon Palace" to the then Vietnamese government. In order to show Vietnam's independence from French colonial rule, the Vietnamese government renamed it "Independence Palace." Later, with the national reunification of Vietnam's North and South, the "Independence Palace" was renamed the "Reunification Palace" as a symbol of the Vietnamese people's struggle for national independence and national unity.

Here is the Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification Palace. The place to commemorate the unity
the reunification palace in the center of Ho Chi Minh was originally built by the French colonists. However, after the liberation of Vietnam, in order to commemorate the independence of the Independence Palace, it was to commemorate the reunification of the North and South. Renamed the Reunification Palace. Originally thought this was a particularly serious attraction. In fact, it has indeed witnessed many historical moments, as well as facilities such as roof aprons and air-raid shelters for specific purposes. But romantic Vietnam can always find a suitable angle for self-portraits, huge glass windows, classic cars on the ground floor, you can take a beautiful photo.

The Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace is located in the center of Ho Chi Minh City. It was built in 1869 and was the governor's office of the Indochina during the French period. It became the presidential palace of the South Vietnamese regime during the Vietnam War from 1954 to 1975. The presidential palace is also known as the "Reunification Palace." ".
In the Independence Palace, Wu Tingxi, Yang Wenming, Zhao Qing, Qi Gaoqi, Qi Wenshao and Chen Wenxiang have successively held public here. Later, ten days before the end of April 1975, the Independence Palace changed hands again, called the Unified Assembly Hall.
"Reunification Palace" was once the largest building complex in Ho Chi Minh City. It has now become a museum. This presidential palace, which has experienced Vietnam's vicissitudes for decades, has a hundred rooms and beautiful scenery. Any corner reveals its long history and sedimentary cultural heritage.
In the courtyard of the presidential palace, we can also see a tank numbered 390 by the Chinese, which was the 390 tank that entered the presidential palace on the morning of April 30, 1975. It heralds the end of the 30-year Vietnam War.
Tour the "Reunification Palace" can also give us a better understanding of Vietnam's modern history.

A huge palace with numerous rooms to see, although can not enter the rooms. Visitors can also enjoy the park around the palace with two tanks and a fountain
Independence Palace, also known as Reunification Palace, built on the site of the former Norodom Palace, is a landmark in Saigon, Vietnam. It was designed by architect Ngô Viết Thụ and was the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
This is an amazing place to visit, the rooms are still furnished in 1960/70's style. Even though they are corded off you really get to see into the life of the tenants and visitors. Spend some time to look around. Also great views. It cost next to nothing and is a great place to spend a few hours. I icy they hadn’t parked the tanks on the lawn out front and it is ruining the grass
