Practically PerfectionWent here for dinner last week and adored it. Staff were extremely friendly, attentive, without being too much. The menu was extensive and everything was incredible. I ordered the salmon and found it delicious. Also the desserts were huge and so good. The pavlova was the best Ive had. Great vibe, busy but not noisy and perfect lighting! Next time Im in Hong Kong, Ill definitely be going back!
Terrible service too many timesWe have been for brunch several times and always gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was just a particularly /busy day to get the service you expect in a place like this. But as it is happening every time - we would not return. When we arrived our friends were already at the table with their menus and their coffee was delivered just as we sat down. The waitress didnt ask us if we wanted a coffee (just walked away), so we had to call her back to order them and then I had to go up and get our own menus. After about 30 minutes they came to take our order and our coffee had still not been delivered. At the same time, I overheard the table next door asking where their coffees were. Our meals were good but as the service is so due to there not being enough staff and they dont appear to know what they are doing - it completely puts you off. We had about 3 people servicing our table and they kept doubling up on the questions etc. Surely it is not diff...
Very good food & very poor serviceAlthough we did not have a booking, we still managed to get space for 16 people on a very short-term notice. After we sat down and got the menu, it became very obvious why we got the space. The waitress in charge for our area (a very nice person actually) had such a large area to cover that it took her almost 25 minutes to deliver the bottle of wine that we ordered. In fact if we would have not reminded her regularly, we were certain that the appetizer would have arrived before the wine. All dishes ordered not only looked very good, they were all very delicious. But even if the food was very good, the service was one of the worst I’ve seen in Hong Kong so far.
