Blake Pier at Stanley

Blake Pier was once a ferry pier located at the foot of Pedder Street in Central, Hong Kong. Due to reclamation work, the pier was relocated to Stanley in 2006. it is now a wonderful site for leisure with great view especially at sunset.

Bugong Pier, built in 1900, was opened by the 12th Hong Kong Governor Buli, and officially named Bugong Pier. The early pier was not covered, and a temporary grass shed was built in 1903, and a steel roof was introduced from the UK in 1909, so this is the first historical building in Hong Kong to adopt low-carbon steel structural parts. Although the pier was demolished in 1965, the introduction of Murray Building has made it a rare combination of humanities and natural mountains and seas.
