Sai Wan War Cemetery

The cemetery in the South of Chai Wan (also known as Sai Wan) on the eastern side of Hong Kong Island, is a cemetery in Hong Kong. The cemetery was built in 1946 and is mainly buried in the Allied soldiers who died in the Hong Kong Defence War. The Hong Kong government in 1953 awarded land for the cemetery to the Commonwealth War Cemetery Commission, which became one of the four cemeteries built and managed by the Commission in Hong Kong, and the remaining three were the Cape Golenchen Military Cemetery adjacent to the cemetery. The Stanley Guo Yu Memorial Cemetery in Stanley South District and the Gorkha Military Cemetery ("Gorkha" is the name of the Sultanate) established in the Katyulu Barracks (formerly the Sultanate Barracks in Ngau Tam Mei, Yuen Long District) were closed on 30 June 1997 due to the transfer of sovereignty in Hong Kong, It is now open for public sacrifices and memorial services on specific days with Ching Ming Festival.[2]

The West Bay Guoyu Memorial Cemetery, I didn't expect to become a lot of people, and I made a special trip to shoot the punch-in holy place! White tombstones and green grass! There is indeed an elegant wind!

The solemn memorial site pays tribute to overseas military personnel who have contributed to Hong Kong.

Not only are more than 1,000 martyrs killed in World War II buried here, but also ordinary civilians. In memory of the martyrs, we went to worship them.

During World War II, many British soldiers were buried here.

There are pines and cypresses here to commemorate the martyrs who died fighting against Japanese aggressors in World War II.
