What people are saying:

This place is actually super cool, and sits on a very large area. For being inside the city it's pretty impressive. The subway actually stops right in front of the temple which is very convenient. The entrance is free, although donation is highly recommended. Temple is huge, and there's a huge garden that is still being built behind the temple where it's quiet pretty and a nice place to meditate.

    Just steps from the metro

Large Daoist temple...many fortune teller stalls all vying for you to pick them to tell you your fortune. Lots of people praying and incense burning. Tough on my sensitive eyes but worth a visit.

A beautiful temple but being renovated!

Intricate detail in this temple but unfortunately it is being renovated so it lost its charm. The gardens and fish pond was empty as we walked over the little bridge. Still very pretty with the lant...

Additional Information

Wong Tai Sin Temple, located on the southern side of Lion Rock in the north of Kowloon, is one of the many famous temples in Hong Kong. A devout ensemble of halls, shrines, pavilions, and altars, this bustling temple is a destination for all walks of Hong Kong society, from pensioners and business people to parents and young professionals. Fortune tellers occupy dozens of tiny booths in an arcade to the southeast of the main complex. Set behind the temple are the Good Wish Gardens, with decorative pavilions, bridges, and carp pools. Wong Tai Sin Temple is one of Hong Kong's busiest and most interesting temples.
