What people are saying:

A great experience and opportunity to learn about important historical events in America's history as a world power. A humbling experience to visit the site where so many lost their lives on that fateful day. Plan to go early and research other Pearl Harbor options online to determine if you wish to visit other sites in addition to the Arizona Memorial. Additional Information

Introduction

The USS Arizona was perhaps the most famous ship sunk on December the seventh, 1941 at Pearl Harbor. This massive vessel took more than one thousand sailors down with her, whose bodies she still protects today. This is one of the most moving memorials this side of the yet to be completed freedom towers in New York City. Visitors here are treated to a shuttle that takes them to the memorial, offers professional and moving narration, before returning to the main park grounds. Best of all, admission to this historic location is absolutely free, although it's based on a first come first served basis. Worth noting are the black tears of the Arizona. These minute traces of oil have been leaking from the vessel since she went down, and are thought to represent the constant tears shed as America never forgets this "date that shall live in infamy."
