A famous Chinese private gardenThe garden was easy to get inside with the ticket buying process being very quiet and welcoming. There is also lots of parking nearby. Inside the garden there is lots to explore. I like how much of the building there is to explore with rooms to show off the most recent residents living conditions. You can see the masters bedrooms and study room alongside some of the rooms built for entertaining. The garden was a private residence and garden from the late Qing dynasty for the He family. There are lots of signs around the museum which are bilingual. There is also a lot of staff dressed up in traditional costume which adds to the experience. We enjoyed a 2 hour visit on a weekend winter and it was very quiet.#James in Shanghai33
