Port of Hualien

Hualien Port, located in Hualien City, Hualien County, Taiwan, is one of Taiwan's main ports. East of the Pacific Ocean, west of the Central Mountains, is an artificial port made of east and west breakwaters. It is now the first choice for whale watching.

I really like the sea view of Hualien, quiet and not noisy. And their temperature makes people feel very comfortable. We didn't plan to see dolphins when we came to Hualien Port. Just got up early in the morning and enjoyed a sunrise.

I went to Hualien specially to see the dolphins. When I went out to the sea, the color was very beautiful, and the sea and sky were all in one color! The boats are on 2 floors, and the whole trip is 2-3 hour. Although the attitude of the staff is really average, because I can see so many groups of dolphins so close, I am really happy and beautiful! It's worth it! You have to make an appointment in advance, there will be a car to pick you up, and then send you to see it.

Another interesting activity in Hualien is to go to the sea to watch whales. Before traveling freely in Taiwan, finding a strategy is also half-worked. Many people mentioned going to whale watching. In my impression, dolphins and whales like marine life can only be seen in the animal world or books, if you can see it firsthand, how lucky it is. We chose to buy the Pacific Whale Watching and bought the 800-Taiwanese Whale Watching Line. The next day I arrived at Hualien Port Leisure Pier. Whale watching dolphins in Hualien are organized by travel agencies, some have their own boats to sea, and there are also sightseeing tickets on behalf of them, but they are all officially licensed and the price is unified. As tourists, they can enjoy certain discounts through different purchase channels. The five or six nautical miles offshore of Hualien and Taitung in Taiwan is the junction of Kuroshio and the near-shore current. The two currents are inflamed, and the organic matter on the sea floor is turned up, so it attracts fish to forage in groups, and naturally becomes the sea where whales and dolphins are frequent. Every year after the spring equinox (about March 20), whales and dolphins began to move and find food on the east coast of Taiwan. As summer approached, whales and dolphins were more and more in variety and number. Large groups of whales and dolphins jumped and jumped in the blue sky. The beauty of the gesture is amazing. There will be rules explained before boarding the ship and seasickness medicine is provided. After boarding, life jackets will be worn. The boats are controlled and counted. If there are many ships docking, they will be called names. The boat is two floors up and down, and the seats on the first floor will be mostly wet by the waves, but the two floors will be more bumpy. Our boat boss is experienced, and under the spectacular jump of the dolphins, he does not give up the confidence to find the whales, and finally finds the "sperm whale" figure as he wishes. The sperm whale was not huge in size, swimming in front of our ship, and occasionally spraying water columns with its nose, mischievous and hiding with us, running to the bottom of the ship, and coming out again for a while, this was a complete sea, and it would be unforgettable every thought.
