Sizzling Summer at the Taj Mahal 🕌
Visiting the Taj Mahal in the height of summer (May) was an unforgettable adventure, but boy, was it hot! Located on the outskirts of the city of Agra, we got a private driver from our hotel to bring us on the 3 hour journey (one-way) to the Taj Mahal from Delhi. It sure was a long ride but as one of the iconic landmarks in India, we could not miss it for the world.
The summer sun beat down mercilessly on us as we explored the majestic marble wonder. The scorching heat really made it difficult to fully appreciate the mesmerising beauty of the Taj Mahal. We sought refuge in the shade whenever we could, but the heat was relentless.
Nonetheless, I was left in awe by the intricate details and symmetrical design. Seeing such an iconic symbol of love and architecture was worth it. I'll always remember the shimmering white dome against the blue sky and the feeling of wonder it inspired, even amidst the sweltering summer heat.

Lived up to it's expectation as a wonder of the world. The story behind the mausoleum is very sad but demonstrated a different world. We went on the anniversary of the kings death which meant we could see extra things and this was lucky for us! Stunning
It's really worth being as one of the seven wonders. The place is very well maintained for the past centuries. There are so many photo shooting spots. Don't forget to make a visit on the opposite side of the river bank to enjoy the panoramic view of Taj Mahal.
Spare 2-3 hours for a visit to see the detail of marble art. India is really the place for marbles. No wonder the King could build such a beautiful monument of L❤️VE. There is always a different story of the history.
By the way, the purchased ticket could be used for discount at other attractions in Agra. Keep it well.

Taj Mahal Agra India Amazing Building
#timetotravel
Taj Mahal is widely considered one of the most beautiful buildings ever created. The exquisite marble structure in Agra, India, is a mausoleum, an enduring monument to the love of a husband for his favorite wife. It's also an eternal testament to the artistic and scientific accomplishments of a wealthy empire.
Shah Jahan, “the King of the World,” took control of the Mughal Empire throne in 1628 very much in love with the queen he dubbed Mumtaz Mahal or “Chosen One of the Palace.” The poets at Agra’s Mughal court said her beauty was such that the moon hid its face in shame before her.
The Mughals were at the peak of their power and wealth during Shah Jahan’s reign, and India’s rich lode of precious gems yielded him much wealth and power. But he was powerless to stop Mumtaz Mahal’s death during childbirth in 1631. Legend has it that she bound him with a deathbed promise to build her the most beautiful tomb ever known.

Ganga River Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Varanasi, India, is known as the land of light of the gods. On the banks of the Ganges in the morning, watching the sun on the other side rise slowly, and when the light shines on the ancient and magnificent buildings, you will understand the meaning of the city of light. Mark Twain once commented on the sunrise of the Ganges River: as long as you have seen it once, even if it is only a momentary look, no one will be willing to exchange this short glimpse with other landscapes in the world.
In the movie "Gravity", George Clooney suddenly saw the scene of the Ganges sunrise as he flew deep into the universe, and when the sunrise glowed to the Ganges, the dazzling light It is a landscape that is unmatched by the beauty of the world. The last sentence he left before his life was gone, "When you can't keep going, you should look at the sunrise of the Ganges. It's so beautiful."
In Varanasi, you can find the history of the cremation of the millennium and feel the Indians' belief in the Ganges
Varanasi, located on the left bank of the Ganges. It is India's famous historical city and Hindu holy land, and is the "capital" of the Indian spiritual world.
Varanasi is close to the Ganges, and countless believers, ascetic and dying people come here to bathe or wait to be cremated to purify their souls. There are more than 1,500 temples and many places of interest, including the Ganges Baths, the Golden Temple of India, the Durga Temple, and the Indian University of Benares. The birthplaces of the two denominations of Sakyamuni and Jainism, which were first introduced by Sakyamuni, are near Varanasi, so Varanasi in the broad sense is an important holy place for Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.
Waranaxi is spiritually sacred and profound, but at the material level it is chaotic and dirty.
In reality, India may be backward, and in my opinion, India is more like a time capsule, and the customs of thousands of years can continue to this day. Including architecture, including customs, including religious customs, is so complete in the long river of history. The whole world is changing at the speed of flying. This is still the case, which is one of the reasons that attracts me.
This kind of ancient feeling is the kind of breath that can make you feel at a moment.
is the atmosphere of the city. You will want to put down your mobile phone while breathing, sitting under the sun and watching the Ganges daze At that moment, we are all Indians.
India must punch card | Ganges night festival
people and God's exchange with the development of human civilization, continues to this day, in the ancient civilization of India, this sacrifice is still the most grand ritual today. The noble Brahmin rituals on the banks of the Ganges will perform the Ganges Night Festival on every river in the evening to thank the Ganges for giving everything to humanity.
In addition to the early arrival of the devout Hindus at the venue, the ceremony also attracted the arrival of tourists from all over the world. Ever since, this mysterious and huge ritual has also emerged with a lot of commercial atmosphere. If you want a good location to watch the night festival, as long as you save money, you can sit anywhere. While walking down the steps, I casually bargained. After all, the private boat that provided the landscape location had already stopped at the river bank. We didn't care if there was a position. After the price was right, we went to the first row of the second deck of a ship in the middle.
Before the ceremony, some priests will take some VIP guests to the river to hold a ceremony similar to blessing. The whole process is not allowed to wear shoes. Foreign girls who fear the legend of Ganges are allowed to put on shoes. set. After that, the mysterious ceremony began. I think the most beautiful part was after the ignition. Under the light of the fire, the young Brahmin priests were seen. Oh, it was too late to condemn the caste system, and even the beauty of the Brahmin man.
Explore the fantasy capital of India, the holy city 6,000 years ago! After doing this cup of Ganges water
under the mist of the Ganges, like a dream of thousands of years ago, never really wake up. It is so old, rich and open, even if the pollutants exceed the standard, it has become a spiritual resort for the local people.
Those who bathe in the wash, the ascetic eyes that are closed and contemplative, the sacred cows... It seems that nothing happened and nothing went away.
Tips: If you want to see the most authentic morning bath, remember to get to the pier five or six in the morning, you can take a boat ferry or walk. When the sun is gone, it is better to go to the old street to drink lassi, and then start the day.

'Mahal' view at Hawa Mahal
Totally in awe with the rear of Palace of Wind or #hawamahal. This 5 storey pink sandstone palace was constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Reason being: to allow the royal women a view of everyday life including festivals and celebrations through the windows, as they never appeared in public (without face covering: purdah) #theguidetoldus
Trivia: How many windows are there? A: 953 windows (Jharokhas) in total 😂 but i was busy wondering it must have been a tiring task to wipe all the windows. hehe
anyway, we really love thr building that we came again at night to have another shot. l. The cooling effect in the chambers, are through the breeze passing by the small windows and enhanced by the fountains provided at the centre of each of the chambers

#passionpassport
Hawa Mahal or the 'Palace Of The Winds' located in the heart of the beautiful Pink City of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India, is one of the most famous tourist attractions and a prominent landmark of the city that is renowned for its rich cultural and architectural history. Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh of the Kachhwaha Rajput dynasty, this beautiful structure is predominantly a high screen wall made of pink and red sandstone that facilitated royal women to get an eyeful of the street festivals and busy city life while remaining out of the view of public. This five-storey building in the shape of a crown of Lord Krishna with 953 jharokhas or windows and a beautifully decorated façade resembling a honeycomb of a beehive that gives one a feel of the rich heritage of the Rajputs. #jaipur #heritage #india

New Delhi is a mix of both the old and new with both parts of the city seamlessly coexisting with one another 🇮🇳
Here are some awesome places you must visit if you’re ever visiting this fascinating metropolis ☝️
A solo traveler's guide to Amritsar
Amritsar is a city of faith in the desert, located in the northern part of India, bordering Pakistan, and it overturns my imagination of Indian cities.
Transportation guide, traveling alone from Delhi, India to Amritsar, take a second-class train compartment. It is advised not to take the lowest class as locals may fight for seats. The cost for a second-class compartment is less than 20 yuan. However, purchasing tickets at the train station is inconvenient due to the need to queue. Online purchases require a local SIM card for registration and a local credit card for payment. I used an intermediary to buy the ticket for 60 yuan, for a second-class seat. The journey takes over 5 hours.
Accommodation, it is recommended for solo travelers to choose accommodations in the center of Amritsar, as it is unsafe to walk through alleys at night. The cost starts at 100 yuan, and the environment is quite nice.
Attractions guide, the main attractions in Amritsar are the Golden Temple and the flag-lowering ceremony at Wagah, in the neighboring city.
The Golden Temple is the landmark of Amritsar, and it can be said that the city was built around this temple. Head coverings are required to enter the Golden Temple, which is open for free, and free meals are provided all day, allowing visitors to experience it with the locals.
Additionally, the commercial street in the Golden Temple square has a Middle Eastern flair, reminiscent of ancient Persian style, with many ethnic costumes and delicacies.
Wagah is an hour's drive from Amritsar, and you need to carpool from the Golden Temple square, which costs 10 yuan for a round trip. I carpooled with locals. The flag-lowering ceremony at the India-Pakistan border is a carnival, with people from both countries dancing together. Then they lower the flags together, with a strong sense of ceremony. The event is free of charge.
