The Colosseum, the greatest amphitheater of the Roman Empire and still the landmark of Rome. We visited in October where the sun set quite early. We arrived just before sunset and hence could only manage to walk from the outskirts. Next time we would join a guided tour.
There are several sightseeing points around the Colosseum and it was a great walk around Rome where we ended in the Sciasia Caffe 1919 after an hour or so, a few streets from the Vatican.
Sciasia Caffe 1919
Address: Via Fabio Massimo, n.80/a, 00192 Roma

Magnificent Colosseum
Located just east of the Roman Forum, the massive stone amphitheater known as the Colosseum was commissioned around A.D. 70-72 by Emperor Vespasian of the Flavian dynasty as a gift to the Roman people. In A.D. 80, Vespasian’s son Titus opened the Colosseum—officially known as the Flavian Amphitheater—with 100 days of games, including gladiatorial combats and wild animal fights.
After four centuries of active use, the magnificent arena fell into neglect, and up until the 18th century it was used as a source of building materials. Though two-thirds of the original Colosseum has been destroyed over time, the amphitheater remains a popular tourist destination, as well as an iconic symbol of Rome and its long, tumultuous history.

Milan and Venice: The Best of Italy
Embark on a journey through Milan and Venice, two iconic cities in Italy. From Milan's vibrant energy to Venice's romantic canals, these destinations offer a memorable experience.
Lost in the centuries
In the heart of Milan, my journey through Duomo di Milano was a captivating blend of history, art, and breathtaking views. As I ascended the stairs to the terraces, the cityscape unfolded beneath me, a modern metropolis juxtaposed against the timeless beauty of the cathedral’s spires.
The sculptures adorning the exterior told tales of craftsmanship and dedication. Each intricately carved figure seemed to breathe life into the stone, whispering stories of the artisans who had left their mark over the centuries. It was a tangible connection to the past, a living testament to the city’s rich history.
Reaching the terraces, the panoramic view was nothing short of enchanting. Milan stretched out in all directions, a vibrant canvas of life and culture. The juxtaposition of ancient architecture against the backdrop of a modern cityscape created a visual symphony that left me in awe.
Inside the cathedral, the play of sunlight through stained glass bathed the space in a kaleidoscope of colors. The air was filled with a sense of reverence as I wandered through the vast interior, marveling at the intricate details of the chapels and the soaring arches above.
Duomo di Milano was not merely a structure; it was an immersive experience that transcended time. Each step carried me through centuries of history. Imagine, they spent over 6 centuries to build it! 😍Each glance revealed the artistry of those who had contributed to its creation. It was a day where the beauty of the view, the allure of the sculptures, and the richness of history converged, creating a memory etched in the tapestry of my traveling.
I definitely recommend to buy a tickets to the top 🔝 upstairs, it’s a pure beauty, combined with city view, which I explained above. :)

Amalfi Coast Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Amalfi is the most charming coastal town in the world
Among the many coastlines in Italy,
the scenery of the Amalfi Coast is the most beautiful.
Located on the south side of the Sorrento Peninsula in southern Italy,
from Salerno to Positano, there are 14 coastal towns. In 1997, the Amalfi Coast
was listed as a 'Cultural Landscape World Heritage Site' by UNESCO.
🍀
One of the top ten most beautiful sights in the world,
together with the Greek islands, it is known as 'Paradise on Earth'. The sunset light permeates the entire sea, waves and sails,
the houses are scattered and shrouded in smoke, the crowd and vehicles on the cliff path are calm and peaceful, and the beauty is overwhelming.
🍀
There is a small town also called Amalfi.
The name of this town is also the source of the name of the Amalfi Coast.
From Positano along Salerno,
there is a bay road known as 'Lemon Street'.
Enjoying lemon sorbetto in Amalfi Coast 🍋
Getting There - Amalfi coast also known as Costiera Amalfitana is located near Sorrento and it is reachable by bus form Sorrento or boat.
Attractions - Vietri sul Mare, Maiori and Ravello are near Amalfi coast and easy to reach from here.
Hotels - Hotel miramalfi has sea access to Grotta Smeraldo located on the cliffside, it is a high rated property in Amalfi.
Food & Restaurants - Pizza, Pasta, and seafood! Suggest to try the lemon sorbetto which cost 8 euro approximately and lemon granita(shaved ice) 5 euro

PATH OF THE GODS , ALMAFI COAST
PATH OF THE GODS, ALMAFI COAST
Dari kawasan pergunungan kita menuju ke pinggir lautan … dari utara minggir ke selatan. The famous Almafi Coast, a 50-kilometer stretch of coastline along the southern edge of Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula, in the Campania region. Kawasan dengan tebing tinggi di sepanjang pinggir laut yang menghubungkan penempatan tepi laut yang cukup terkenal, definitely one of the most beautiful part of Italy 🇮🇹 . The not so good thing is this place can be crowded and expensive especially in peak season.
So that’s why I choose to travel on the off season and the best way to explore this region in my opinion is by foot. Terdapat banyak hiking trails di sepanjang tebing tinggi pinggir laut dengan view yang cukup dramatic di antara bandar Almafi dan Positano but I choose the most famous—the Sentiero degli Dei or Path of the Gods!
This 8 kilometres hike between the village of Bomerano to Nocella, Positano and vice versa will take around 2 to 4 hours (depending on how many times you stops to take in all the views).
So how difficult it is? It’s can be easy to moderate difficulty… you find it easy if you are an experienced hiker … which I’m not and I find it was not too bad .. BUT … bare in mind that this hike is not for everyone and never ever underestimate the risks because some of the paths are rough, very exposed and narrow with loose stones. So be extra careful with your feet.
The important thing to know is it’s much easier to start your hike from the village Bomerano (easily reach by bus from Almafi) and end it in Nocella because the hike mostly downhill.
But if you up for something more challenging you can do it the opposite way 🤷🏼♂️.
I just love hiking/ tracking along the coastline - you’ll have epic seascapes, dramatic cliffs, and epic coastal scenery. I have a chance to do a few costal hike around Europe and here are my top 3 so far :
1. Fira to Oia, Santorini
2. Path of The Gods, Almafi Coast
3. Monterosso to Vernazza, Cinque Terre

A piece of heaven like ( Amalfi Coast)
in Campania region of Italy , there is a 50 kilometer beautiful coastline. the name is , Amalfi Coast. it is a UNesco world heritage and when i saw its photos i decided to go there for a few days and see with my eyes and take photos. Amalfi has also sky-high costal cliffs with a multicolored town. if you go via Ss163 highway, you have amazing view. its better someone drive and you see beatiful places and take photos. there are bus and boat shuttles services also. the first amazing place to visit is ( Positano) the most picturesque town in Amalfi coast. also visit (Marina Grande Beach). Amalfi town was nice also to visit. Winding Roads and Emerald Grotto were also great places. there are many cheap and mid price hotels there to stay. and also enjoy Italian restaurants. #beachlife #amalficoast #italy #trip #travelinspiration #touristsattraction

5 THINGS YOU MUST KNOW ABOUT THE DOLOMITES 🇮🇹🏔️😍
Put on your hiking shoes and get ready for some jaw dropping views 🥹 The Dolomites are the perfect place to visit for adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts! Here are our tips:
🗺️ Places to visit / Things to do:
1. Lago di Braies: The most beautiful lake in the Dolomites which can be accessed by car. The boats can only be rented during summer and are a bit overpriced 😅 It’s worth it though 🛶
2. Lago di Braies: Due to the easy accessibility the lake gets very crowded throughout the day. Either visit early in the morning or before sunset to avoid the crowds 💦
3. Tre Cime di Lavaredo - Basic Hike: Park at Rifugio Auronzo (quite expensive) and walk around the 3 peaks (beginner friendly) 🥾
4. Cave at Tre Cime di Lavaredo: Start the basic hike and go to Dreizinnenhütte. Behind it you can already see the caves. The hike takes very long and depending on the season it can be easy or difficult (we went in May with melting snow and it took 12 hours) 😅
5. Alpe di Siusi: You can only drive up by car if you book a hotel. Otherwise you need to take the cable car 🚠 There are different ones but our favorite is the one from St. Ulrich.
6. Malga Sanon at Alpe di Siusi: Don‘t miss this restaurant with the cute lookout at Alpe di Siusi ❤️
7. The Restaurant also has a swing with an amazing view 🥹
8. Lago di Sopapis 💙 Park at the hotel B&B Passo Tre Croici Cortina and start the hike from there. It‘s not hard but takes 2 hours to reach the lake.
9. Val di Funes 💚 The viewpoint is next to the church Santa Maddalena. Park in the town and walk up the street because it‘s very narrow.
10. Seceda 🏔️ Take the cable car in St. Ulrich (around 35€ pP, dogs allowed with muzzle). The incredible view is next to the station 😍
Other places to see:
-Gardena Pass
-Cadini di Misurina
🚗 How to get around
-To reach all the starting points of the hikes you definitely need a car. Be prepared for high parking fees. cr:wanderlust_samoyed& Contact us for removal
