Jiang Yan is also a historical city with a very important position in the history of Shigatse. It was the place where the defending war of the E. Jiang was held, and it was also a struggle by the Tibetan people to resist the aggression of imperialism. The first place we arrived was Baiju Temple. It means Auspicious Wheel Dale Temple, a temple where Tibetan Buddhism Sakya, Xialu and Gelugans coexist. Baiju Temple has a well-known Chinese and foreign Baiju Tower, which is called "Bodhi Tower". The tower has nine floors, with a height of more than 32 meters. There are 77 Buddhist temples, 108 gates, shrines and temples. It is a unique treasure in the history of Chinese architecture. There are more than 100,000 Buddha statues in the hall, hence the name 100,000 stupas. The most important part of the temple culture is the Baiju Temple murals. The murals have three categories: Xianzong, Tantric, and historical figures.
