Jingdezhen Ceramics Museum

Jingdezhen China Ceramics Museum is far more than speechless Buddha!! There are a lot of ceramic boutiques here. Thanks to the knowledgeable instructor, Mr. Zhou, who took us from the third to the sixth floor to enjoy many exquisite ancient porcelain and innovative modern porcelain, and learned the wonderful story behind these beautiful objects.

Professor Song, a historian, thanked the companionship and wonderful explanation of this trip. The child himself liked porcelain very much. After the explanation of Song, he loved it even more. From quaint pottery to exquisite porcelain, each piece shows the unique charm of Chinese ceramics. My favorite is the blue and white porcelain of the Ming Dynasty, which has delicate patterns and elegant colors, which makes people feel the superb skills of ancient craftsmen. The museum's interpreters are also very professional, and they tell us the historical background and production process of each exhibit in vivid language, so that we have a deeper understanding of Chinese ceramic culture. Jingdezhen China Ceramics Museum is a very worth visiting place, not only can you enjoy the exquisite ceramic artwork, but also understand the development of Chinese ceramic culture.

Jingdezhen China Ceramics Museum, located at No. 1 Zijing North Road, Changjiang District, Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province, is affiliated with Jingdezhen Wenguang New Tourism Bureau, and is a fully funded institution. The museum aims to "disseminating ceramic knowledge and promoting ceramic culture", and build a ceramic culture display and dissemination platform with international vision, national station and Jiangxi characteristics. The museum is the first ceramic museum in China, and it is also a national-level museum and a national demonstration base for patriotic education. In 1953, the China Ceramic Museum was proposed by Guo Moruo and created by the Business Development Bureau of the National Ministry of Culture. It was officially opened to the public in 1954. On October 18, 2015, the renovated Jingdezhen China Ceramic Museum was officially opened to the public. The museum covers an area of nearly 5.9 million square meters, and a total construction area of 3.2 million square meters. It has a permanent exhibition hall, 6 temporary exhibition halls and academic exchange areas, public activity areas, leisure and business areas, office areas, multi-functional areas, warehouse areas, etc. As of October 2023, the total number of cultural relics in the museum collection was more than 50,000, of which 18 pieces/set of first-class items, 236 pieces/set of second-class items and 1,387 pieces/set of third-class items. In 2023, the expression package "silent bodhisattva" derived from a Luohan ceramic sculpture in the permanent exhibition hall on the 6th floor of the China Ceramics Museum in Jingdezhen went viral on the Internet.
