In Jinxing county there are nine linked strategic passes which were controlled by the State of Yan and the Qin Dynasty. There is a museum of the great wall, with most of the preserved wall being from the Ming Dynasty. During the Liao Dynasty, Jinxing became a "capital district area," and Jinxing Mountain Pass (namely the Gu and Liangzi mountain passes) as well as Longquan Pass in Fuping County, Daoma Pass in Tang County and Zici Pass in Yi County, became areas to assist the capital district area. During the Ming Dynasty all of these important passes were linked together and within the Jinxing territory the Great Wall exceeded 100 kilometers in length. Consequently, at the Liangzi Pass Scenic Area of the great wall you'll find a waterfall, rafting and other amusements.
