The tower is located in the Kaifeng Tower Park. It was originally called the Kaibao Temple Tower. It is also called the Inspiration Tower and the Temple Tower above. It is inlaid with brown glazed tiles on the outer wall and looks like iron. It is commonly known as the “Iron Tower”. The tower was built during the Northern Song Dynasty and has survived the war, floods, earthquakes and other disasters. The brick carvings here are very famous. The bricks are engraved with dozens of patterns such as flying, unicorn, bodhisattva, music, and lions. They are beautiful in shape and vivid in appearance. They are called masterpieces of brick art in the Song Dynasty.
