Yongchang Fort is a Ming Dynasty castle, commonly known as New City. It was built in 1558 (the thirty-seventh year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty). In the Ming Dynasty, the coast of Wenzhou was invaded by Japanese pirates. Later, the brothers Wang Shuguo and Shudai initiated the construction of this fort to fight against the Japanese. The castle is rectangular in shape, 738 meters long from north to south, 445 meters wide from east to west, 2366 meters in circumference, 8 meters high and 4 meters wide. Oblique base with stones, medium rammed earth. The city is surrounded by a moat, and there are two canals dug in the city. The two sides of the castle moat are built with square granite slanting to facilitate water and land transportation, irrigation and washing. There are more than 100 acres of paddy fields in the fort, which can be produced and self-help in case of emergency, so as to promote the safety of both the army and the people, it can be seen that the planning was properly planned at that time, and it was also thoughtful and far-sighted. There are Dutangdi, Zhuangyuan Mansion, Shengzhimen Lane, Shidafu Temple, Chief Secretary Temple, Qingshimentai, Huayuan Ancient Well, No. 40 Dongqiaodi, No. 12 Yushi Lane, Dapai Ancestral Hall, and Downstairs Pai. Many ancient dwellings, ancestral halls, and many ancient bridges, such as the ancestral hall, No. 6 in Zhuangyuanli, have high historical and cultural value.
Yongchangbao, built in 1558, is located in Yongzhong Street, Longwan District, Wenzhou City. Many bridges were built and well preserved in the Ming Dynasty, and the city walls were built in the Ming Dynasty. Wadang is of great historical value. It has the characteristics of Jiangnan Water Township and the shadow of coastal fisherman culture. Due to the construction of modern cities, this place seems a little awkward.
Yongchang Fort, Ming Castle, commonly known as the New Town. Built in 1558 (Ming Jiajing 37 years). Located in Yongzhong Street, Longwan District, Wenzhou City. In the Ming Dynasty, Wenzhou coast was violated by the Yongqiang, Wang Pei, Wang De uncle and nephew of the Yongqiang resistance. The nephew Wang Pei, Wang Shuguo, and the uncle and brother of the queen, launched the construction of this castle to protest.
Quiet and simple ancient villages, bridges and watery homes. Although the construction and development has not been particularly complete, it has quite the flavor of ancient lanes. Walking around in your spare time is still very tasty.
Very good Yongchang Fort, anti-suppression history and Wang family
Yongchang Fort is becoming more and more beautiful. There is a big gap between Yongchang Fort and Wuzhen Town. There are too many vehicles, too many modern houses, most of the old houses have not been built, and how long the grass is.
It’s very fun here. The ancient city walls and moats are all witnesses to the fight against the squats during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and the celebrity housing in the Qing Dynasties. It’s worth playing.
Come play, old city walls, castles against the wind, unique scenery, human landscape?
