What people are saying:

Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is located between Flinders Chase National Park and Kelly Mountain Conservation Park. It is an ideal paradise for viewing the wild nature of Kangaroo Island. It is easy to meet koalas, kangaroos, and Tamara. Wallabies, possums, echidna and other wild animals with Australian characteristics will come across unexpectedly. You can also participate in a guided "90-minute nocturnal animal discovery tour". Not only that, the reserve also provides 6 independent sea view cabins, only 100 meters away from Hanson Bay Beach, where you can swim and fish. We didn’t stay in a sea view cabin, but on the way to Flinders Chase National Park, we turned to Hanson Bay Beach for a short while. It was a quiet and relaxing beach, just like living in these 6 sea views. Private beach with people in the hut. Recreational fishing here must comply with the fishing rules. There are detailed regulations on the size and quantity of fish that can be fished, and the fish that cannot be fished. Violators can be fined up to 20,000 Australian dollars depending on the severity of the circumstances! If you like hiking, you can also hike about 18 kilometers back and forth from here, through the primitive jungle and two lagoons in the jungle, to Kelly Hills Caves in Kelly Hill Conservation Park. We did a private nocturnal tour with Mel. Mel was lovely, incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. We had a fantastic time! This is a wonderful spot for wildlife and definitely deserves a visit.
